No exact dates or hours yet for the two "Finals" for promotion to Second Division "A"--the two legs of each will be during the next two weekends, to wit

First legs

Extremadura-Cartagena Edit: Sun. 17 June 18:30 Source: futbolme.com

Elche-Villarreal "B" Edit: Sat. 16 June 18:30 Source: as.com

Second legs

Cartagena-Extremadura Edit: Sun. 24 June 18:30. Source: futbolme.com

Villarreal "B"-Elche Edit: Sat. 23 June 18:30. Source: futbolme.com

My own preferences are for Cartagena and Elche to win promotion.

Second leg: Sat. 23 June, 18:30  Villarreal "B" 2, Elche 1 Full time. At 14', Benja gives Elche the lead--0-1. At 43', Rubén Mesa makes it 1-1 on the night. Villarreal "B" needs three goals in a bit over half an hour. Rubén Mesa scores his second at 90' to make it 2-1 on the night, but it's too little, too late, and

ELCHE WINS PROMOTION TO SECOND DIVISION "A"--3-2 on agg.

And we FINALLY approach the end of the season, as the last game of the playoffs (second leg) for promotion to Second Division "A" will be played tomorrow, Sunday 24 June, at 18:30 CET, to wit

Cartagena 0, Extremadura 0 (0-1) Final score. At the half, Extremadura has the advantage. Can Cartagena come through :?: No they can't, and EXTREMADURA WINS PROMOTION TO SECOND DIVISION "A".

There are still games going on for promotion to Second Division "B", but essentially the professional season is over :!:

So, the 2018/19 season will be the first in years, without a reserve team in the second division?

Indeed, all of the "B" teams that were eligible for promotion in the playoffs have gone out. Barça "B' was relegated. None survives :!:
