UEFA EL 18/19 - QR 2

Post by seso »

We already have some very nice ties!
The New Saints vs Lincoln Red Imps: Personal kink!
FC Santa Coloma vs Valur: Valur has a great chance to qualify to EL QR3 for the first time in their history!
Aberdeen vs Burnley: Derby from the past!

APOEL - Flora Tallinn.

Anyone knows anything about this team? This should be an easy match for us, but that's what I've said about Suduva as well

24 eliminations from the first tie in 25 years in a row they play in Europe. Anything below 7 or 8 goals aggregate is bad.

Hapoel Haifa and the Icelandic team, Haifa should go through. I think Radnicki is same level as that Hungarian team, Maccabi should go through as well but if they don't its gonna be a disastrous season. Beitar I dont think will be back in Europe for a while.

I hope so, they're a disgrace in Europe. But each year they somehow get the 3rd place, although not supposed to do that.

Sparta Prague will demolish Spartak Subotica in Q2. In Serbia, Spartak is right now about 7-8 place by quality. I predict 0-2 or 0-3 in Subotica.

Maccabi is favorite against Radnicki, but I believe that Radnicki have really good chances here to play two equal games against Maccabi. Nenad Lalatovic is one of the best coaches in country and Radnicki is well organized club in this moment. By quality, they are 3rd team in country. Big advantage for Tel Aviv club is Vladimir Ivic, because he is from Serbia and he will know how to prepare well his team.

My club, Partizan is big favorite against Trakai, but more than 60% fans dont support coach Miroslav Djukic and atmosphere is not really the best. We have problems at some positions, especially DC and MC, but we should beat Lithuanian club.

Some great ties in this round:

Kairat - AZ Alkmaar - First games in season for Netherland club and we know what happened last year (Ajax and PSV). I would betwith small amount of money on Kairat to go in third round.

Osijek - Rangers - Show program in Osijek... Croatian club is great when they are underdogs and when they can wait chances from counter attack. When they have ball in their legs, then they are in big problems.

Vitorul - Vitesse
Zeljeznicar - Apollon
Dundalk - AEK Larnaca
Aberdeen - Burnley
Hajduk - Slavia Sofia

Hibernian vs Asteras Tripoli should be great! I will be at my countryhouse on August 2nd (return leg), so I may travel to Tripoli (about 100 km away) to watch this Argentinian-Spanish-Greek club take on the Scots! :clapping:

I would say 99.99% chances that Partizan will progress  Trakai are very weak this season

Things start getting interesting.

Favorite ties for me:

Kairat Almaty (Kaz) - AZ Alkmaar (Ned)
Nordsjælland (Den) - AIK Stockholm (Swe)
Hapoel Haifa (Isr) - FH Hafnarfjardar (Isl)
Dundalk (Irl) - AEK Larnaca (Cyp)
Stjarnan (Isl) - København (Den)
Osijek (Cro) - Glasgow Rangers (Sco)

Early odds for the greek teams:

Dynamo Brest (BLS) - Atromitos (GRE) 3,20 - 1,35  expected it to be more balanced
Hibernian (SCO) - Asteras Tripolis (GRE) 1,90 - 1,90  expected Asteras to be slight favorite
fewer spots  weaker leagues  fewer spots  weaker leagues  fewer spots  weaker leagues

BREAKING NEWS: Milan won the appeal at TAS, so they will be in Europa League.

Fiorentina out.

In qr2 Sarajevo will face Atalanta.

Atalanta won't be seeded in the play-offs, so it will be tough.
Maribor now seeded in the play-offs.

Going in we have 3 Scottish sides, and going out, I expect there will be 0 Scottish sides.

Aberdeen and Hibs have little chance with the draw.

Rangers best option, but despite the recent Scottish/Croatia success, I have no faith in this team or their manager, and if the Osijek side are any good they should qualify with ease.
