German Football Season 2019/20
Lucky Bremen on that first goal. Hope Schalke or Hoffenheim hire Kohfeldt. His survival instinct is remarkable.
Overall, replacing Paderborn with Arminia and Düsseldorf with Stuttgart means Bundesliga will be tougher next season.

One game in the Olympiastadion in Berlin would be my favorite solution for the relegation playoff. Lucky Bremen, but they were the better team all in all. They should thank Union Berlin thousand times!
Here are all relegation playoff ties, the first club is always the 2. Bundesliga team:
9:3 for the Bundesliga.

And here the 3. Liga vs. 2. Bundesliga playoffs, first clubs are the 3. Liga teams:
8:3 for the 3. Liga!! Let's see what happens between Nürnberg and Ingolstadt. First leg at 6.15 CET.

First leg:
Nürnberg - Ingolstadt 2-0
'22 1-0 Fabian Nürnberger
'45 2-0 Fabian Nürnberger
Yep, that's his name.

If i read those scores correctly only once has a team turned around a 2 goal loss to win the tie in the 2. Bundesliga playoff.
Pandemic really stirred things. If I am reading well, last MD13 ends in Dec/21 and MD14 starts Jan/02. Baby winter break in next season.

Boring first half in Ingolstadt. But the second one turned out very entertaining.
Nürnberg scored at 90+6' while the referee had just announced five minutes of additional time. So Ingolstadt's players and staff have been furious. But referees should prolong injury time in case of time wasting. It's common sense but still not fair.
All in all, I am happy with the final result. Ingolstadt have good chances to promote next season.

I preferred Nürnberg as well. Much better fans and more tradition. However, feel sorry for the Ingolstadt players. The DFL should cancel the away goal rule in relegation playoffs, at least they should have done it this time, when there are no fans anyway. Ingolstadt, Heidenheim and Lok Leipzig would agree.
Mario Gotze is voted the Bundesliga's 'BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT' by his fellow players - ahead of Philippe Coutinho and Salomon Kalou - while a massive 75% of them name the ENGLISH top flight as the world's best league
That's very harsh, but being German must be disappointment enough tbh
