FCSB is already 5 points away from place 3. But they only need to win the cup-final against Sepsi, that will be their escape to EC.
Today there's the cup final between FCSB and Sepsi, an "hungarian" team financed (among others) even by the hungarian gov. itself.
International break hater
What is FCSB`s state currently? Im rooting for Sepsi!
Cluj coach Petrsecu tested positive.
What is the Romanian federation going to do with the scheduling, will they let the title be decided on matches not played the same day ?
And when is Dinamo going to play their 3 (!) games less than their competitors?

And FCSB got its escape. 1-0 win and Dennis Man the matchwinner.
PAOK is not a club. PAOK is a cultural phenomenon.
Now Cluj has 26 positive cases.
So Craiova will be champions probably. What is happening in Romania is a joke, exactly like Switzerland and Russia. But here it is going to determine the champion too.

now Clinceni-Poli Iași is postponed as well
It'll be a shame if the matches can't be played. The schedule has the top 2 meeting on the last day. We could be deprived of a league title match like the great one I watched for the Slovenian league title.
Uefa has set a deadline for 3 August for fixing the teams that will participate in the next season of european cups.
Cfr Cluj only chance is to be available for playing in 28 July with Botosani (home), 30 with FCSB(away) and in 1 or 2 August with Craiova (away). If they will not be available in 28 July probably they will lose 0-3 the game because the game cannot be moved at another date . Because they have a ton of cases at the team the first problem is that the Direction of Public Sanitary to allow them playing. In this moment I see small chances for Cfr to win the title, Cfr players have about 1 week of non training and even their coach was infected.
For the playout situation things are a bit easier, we have the solution to finish the league in the next weeks, there is not a pressure like in the playoff but they also have in mind to change the format and only the last team from Liga1 to give a battle with the 3rd team from Liga2. In this way we will have 16 teams next year instead of 14. Normally the initial rules says that last2 teams directly relegate and the 12th team give the relegation/promotion playoff with the 3rd from Liga2.In this way they try to protect Dinamo of relegation. Dinamo also has problems regarding covid infected players but also they have one of the poorest quality teams in the league. But clubs will vote what will happen, a lot of them are not agreeing a 16 teams league because tv rights (~28 Mil Eur yearly) will be split on a higher number of teams which means few money for every team.
Regarding the eurocups we know that FCSB (winning Cup) and Botosani (the only team in the playoff which have a licence for Europe) are sure of playing in Europa League. Cfr/Craiova will play in CL/EL depending of winning the title.
Another thing is to see what will happen if a romanian team will be drawn against a team from a country who didnt accept romanians in their country without restrictions. (In Romania we have one of the highest daily newcases number and the number is growing incredibly fast in the past 2-3 weeks).

UEFA will need to adress this issue for the new season. We cannot have teams denied entrance (because asking to quarantine = denied entrance) to their opponent's countries because each government wants to do their own things.bossake wrote: ↑Sun Jul 26, 2020 01:38

Some news:
- Cfr Cluj players (about ~20 players tested positive last week) tested again yesterday and the today results says only 4 of them are still positive. (strange situation). So, its scheduled for them to play 28 July vs Botosani (home), 31 July vs Fcsb (away) and the big final the game Craiova - Cfr Cluj is scheduled for Monday 3 August. But lets see if Cfr Cluj will still remain "in life" for the title until the last game. They have more than a week of non training.
- Craiova had 2-3 staff members tested positive so the game vs Astra (away) was postponed. It will be played in 29 July.
- for the playout situation we have only the problem of Dinamo. Unfortunately Dinamo was denied by Sanitary Direction and was placed in quarantine and isolation until 5 August. But they will make new tests, they hope that at least the majority of players to be already negative and the Sanitary Direction to change their decision and to all them to start training and playing their games. Dinamo has 7 matches played and other teams have 11. The good news is that for the playout is not any date limit for finishing the league. But this big difference with Dinamo remaining to play such a big number of games is not a good thing, teams are not ok with that. Some teams still hope that the league will change the format and no one will directly relegate, specially Dinamo hopes that because they are anyway very poor fotbalistically and also with a lot of problems regarding non training because of covid.
Is need to mention that in the case of Dinamo the Sanitary Direction decided to quarantine the team for 2 weeks (forbiden to training and playing) and in the case of Cfr Cluj the Sanitary Direction from Cluj didnt decided that. The number of positive players&staff were about the same (~20 in Cluj and ~26 in Dinamo)

Astra-Craiova is postponed again?
