In the third tier, Esbjerg managed to sink further into abyss. Their relegation a year ago was already a historic failure, and they were giant favourites to make it back up to the second tier. But with today's 1-2 home defeat to B93, it almost seem certain that they will not do that. With one game left, they are four points behind Kolding and 3p and 4 GD behind B93, who play the worst side in the promotion group, Thisted, at home in their last game. An absurd degree of disaster for Esbjerg, who finished 3rd in the Superliga as recent as 2018/19.
