In the final of the Pinatar Cup earlier today, Finland beat Scotland 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw to win the title.

The third place match between Philippines and Slovenia is currently being played. So here is another tournament like the UWNL finals, where the final is played before the third place match.

Actually in the old days when the Algarve Cup still existed, after the completion of the group stage where each team played three matches, they would all play in one more "final" match to decide the overall rankings of the tournament. And these position play-off matches were almost never played in the "correct" order (granted they were played in different fields of the complex). The final would often be played in the middle of the day, while the last match of the tournament would often be some random play-off to decide like the 9th place or something.
