It seems more like speculation from someone who edited Wikipedia

Indeed, the ranking positions between parentheses on this page are the positions from the October ranking. One would expect that, if they use the FIFA ranking for seeding purposes, they would at least use the upcoming November ranking.

Again, unconfirmed officially by CONMEBOL and CONCACAF, but it has been reported in the new media that the 2024 edition of the Copa Interamericana will feature 2023 Copa Libertadores champions Fluminense from Brazil, 2023 Copa Sudamericana champions Liga de Quito from Ecuador, 2023 CONCACAF Champions League champions Leon from Mexico, and you can never guess that the 4th team is.... 2023 Leagues Cup champions Inter Miami.

So Leagues Cup is essentially 2nd Concacaf tournament?

You can say it is the 2nd most important tournament within the CONCACAF region. There are three regional qualifying tournaments for the CONCACAF Champions Cup: the Leagues Cup for North America (which is not organized by CONCACAF but jointly by Liga MX and MLS), the CONCACAF Central American Cup for Central America, and the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup for Caribbean (the latter two are organized by CONCACAF). From a strength and financial point of view, the Leagues Cup is a "bigger" tournament than the other two.

CONCACAF/Copa America should hire you…
Regulations are out: https://copaamerica.com/wp-content/uplo ... 11-ENG.pdf

Article 21: Seeding methodology. The seeded teams will be:

Group A: Defending Copa America champions, i.e., Argentina

Group B: Defending CONCACAF Gold Cup champions: i.e., Mexico

Group C: Highest-ranked CONCACAF team, i.e., USA

Group D: Highest-ranked CONMEBOL team, i.e., Brazil

(Note: had Mexico lost in the CNL QF and had to go through play-offs, the Group B seeded berth would have gone to the Gold Cup runners-up, i.e., Panama)

The other 10 teams already qualified (8 CONMEBOL + 2 CONCACAF) will be seeded by the latest FIFA ranking, to be released later today, without geographical separation. The 2 CONCACAF play-offs teams are in Pot 4.

Each group must contain 1 or 2 CONCACAF teams.

In the knockout stage, teams from Groups A and B are in the top half, and teams from Groups C and D are in the bottom half, and teams from the two sets of groups do not play each other until the final. So Argentina and Brazil can only meet in the final (or 3rd place match), and same for Mexico and USA.

Group stage tiebreakers are FIFA rules (i.e., GD, GF, head-to-head, red cards, yellow cards, drawing of lots). Knockout stage matches do not use extra time (i.e., straight to penalties after 90 minutes), except the final where there will be extra time if necessary.
