2025 Under-21 EURO qualifying groups and state of play

Group A: Republic of Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Türkiye, San Marino
The Republic of Ireland, who missed out on a debut finals last time in the play-offs, remain perfect after three games after beating Türkiye 3-2, San Marino 3-0 and, on Friday, Latvia 2-1 away. Italy, held 0-0 in their opener in Latvia, defeated Türkiye and Norway 2-0 in October to go second. That ended Norway's perfect start and they are also a poiint behind Latvia, who beat Türkiye 2-1 but have played two games more than the rest of the top four.
Group B: Spain, Belgium, Hungary, Scotland, Kazakhstan, Malta
The 2023 runners-up Spain have won all three of their game, on Tuesday prevailing 4-0 in Kazakhstan, and Belgium are also perfect after two away October victories, 2-0 in Malta and 1-0 in Hungary. Scotland beat Hungary 3-1 and Malta 2-1 to move into third, three points off the top.
Group C: Netherlands, Sweden, Georgia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Gibraltar
The Netherlands, pipped to the 2023 quarter-finals by Georgia, reversed fortunes in their first October game with a 3-0 victory in Batumi, and then moved on to 12 points from four matches as they defeated Gibraltar 5-0. They are now five clear of Georgia and Sweden, who drew 0-0 on Tuesday. Moldova are one point back after a 2-1 win against North Macedonia.
Group D: Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Estonia, Israel
Poland have three wins out of three following their 5-0 defeat of Estonia. Youssoufa Moukoko's hat-trick ensured Germany won 3-2 in Bulgaria, keeping them unblemished after two games with the visit of Poland to come on 21 November. Bulgaria drew 1-1 with Kosovo and are within a point of Germany, but havw played two matches more.
Israel's October fixtures against Estonia and Germany were postponed.
Group E: Albania, Switzerland, Romania, Finland, Montenegro, Armenia
Albania moved two points clear of Tuesday as they defeated Montenegro while Switzerland, who had previously been perfect, were held 0-0 in Armenia. Switzerland have a game in hand on Albania, as do Romania, within a point of second after defeating Finland 1-0.
Group F: Ukraine, England (holders), Serbia, Azerbaijan, ,Luxembourg, Northern Ireland
Ilya Kvasnytsya scored deep in added time to give 2023 semi-finalists Ukraine a 3-2 win against England and move clear with the group's last perfect record. England had come back from two down but suffered their first away U21 qualifying defeat since 14 November 2011, a run of 28 matches. Just four days earlier the holders, with several 2023 champions back in their squad as well as players that tasted success at U19 EURO in 2022, had produced a stunning display in securing a 9-1 victory against Serbia, who subsequently joined England on six points with a 2-1 win in Northern Ireland.
Group G: Portugal, Croatia, Faroe Islands, Greece, Andorra, Belarus
Portugal have four wins out of four after defeating Belarus 6-1 and Greece 2-0. Croatia are second, five points adrift, after beating Belarus 2-0 having previously conceded in the 89th minute to drew 2-2 with Greece. The Faroe Islands are up to third after defeating Andorra 1-0, level on points with Croatia but having played one game more.
Group H: France, Slovenia, Austria, Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina
France, now under Thierry Henry, stayed perfect thanks to an added-time winner in their 2-1 victory in Bosnia and Herzegovina and then a 9-0 defeat of Cyprus. Slovenia won 3-0 in Cyprus and beat previously undefeated Austria 1-0 to stay level with France, who have a game in hand.
Group I: Iceland, Wales, Denmark, Czechia, Lithuania
Iceland are top with two perfect victories after their 1-0 win in Lithuania. Wales equalised in the sixth minute of added time through a superb volley from Cian Ashford just moments after his introduction to draw 1-1 with Czechia on Friday, and they are a point behind, though have played a game more. Denmark moved level with Wales when they drew 0-0 in Czechia on Tuesday.
