We've lost after that performance the other night?

Mulling over which games to watch at 19:45.

3-2 FT. Add that to the pile of difficult fixtures vs Ukraine. Group just got a lot harder, though maybe we can both qualify automatically. Next match is Serbia again, but we won't see Ukraine again for a full year.

2025 Under-21 EURO qualifying groups and state of play

https://www.uefa.com/under21/news/027e- ... e-of-play/

Group A: Republic of Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Türkiye, San Marino

The Republic of Ireland, who missed out on a debut finals last time in the play-offs, remain perfect after three games after beating Türkiye 3-2, San Marino 3-0 and, on Friday, Latvia 2-1 away. Italy, held 0-0 in their opener in Latvia, defeated Türkiye and Norway 2-0 in October to go second. That ended Norway's perfect start and they are also a poiint behind Latvia, who beat Türkiye 2-1 but have played two games more than the rest of the top four.

Group B: Spain, Belgium, Hungary, Scotland, Kazakhstan, Malta

The 2023 runners-up Spain have won all three of their game, on Tuesday prevailing 4-0 in Kazakhstan, and Belgium are also perfect after two away October victories, 2-0 in Malta and 1-0 in Hungary. Scotland beat Hungary 3-1 and Malta 2-1 to move into third, three points off the top.

Group C: Netherlands, Sweden, Georgia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Gibraltar

The Netherlands, pipped to the 2023 quarter-finals by Georgia, reversed fortunes in their first October game with a 3-0 victory in Batumi, and then moved on to 12 points from four matches as they defeated Gibraltar 5-0. They are now five clear of Georgia and Sweden, who drew 0-0 on Tuesday. Moldova are one point back after a 2-1 win against North Macedonia.

Group D: Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Estonia, Israel

Poland have three wins out of three following their 5-0 defeat of Estonia. Youssoufa Moukoko's hat-trick ensured Germany won 3-2 in Bulgaria, keeping them unblemished after two games with the visit of Poland to come on 21 November. Bulgaria drew 1-1 with Kosovo and are within a point of Germany, but havw played two matches more.

Israel's October fixtures against Estonia and Germany were postponed.

Group E: Albania, Switzerland, Romania, Finland, Montenegro, Armenia

Albania moved two points clear of Tuesday as they defeated Montenegro while Switzerland, who had previously been perfect, were held 0-0 in Armenia. Switzerland have a game in hand on Albania, as do Romania, within a point of second after defeating Finland 1-0.

Group F: Ukraine, England (holders), Serbia, Azerbaijan, ,Luxembourg, Northern Ireland

Ilya Kvasnytsya scored deep in added time to give 2023 semi-finalists Ukraine a 3-2 win against England and move clear with the group's last perfect record. England had come back from two down but suffered their first away U21 qualifying defeat since 14 November 2011, a run of 28 matches. Just four days earlier the holders, with several 2023 champions back in their squad as well as players that tasted success at U19 EURO in 2022, had produced a stunning display in securing a 9-1 victory against Serbia, who subsequently joined England on six points with a 2-1 win in Northern Ireland.

Group G: Portugal, Croatia, Faroe Islands, Greece, Andorra, Belarus

Portugal have four wins out of four after defeating Belarus 6-1 and Greece 2-0. Croatia are second, five points adrift, after beating Belarus 2-0 having previously conceded in the 89th minute to drew 2-2 with Greece. The Faroe Islands are up to third after defeating Andorra 1-0, level on points with Croatia but having played one game more.

Group H: France, Slovenia, Austria, Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina

France, now under Thierry Henry, stayed perfect thanks to an added-time winner in their 2-1 victory in Bosnia and Herzegovina and then a 9-0 defeat of Cyprus. Slovenia won 3-0 in Cyprus and beat previously undefeated Austria 1-0 to stay level with France, who have a game in hand.

Group I: Iceland, Wales, Denmark, Czechia, Lithuania

Iceland are top with two perfect victories after their 1-0 win in Lithuania. Wales equalised in the sixth minute of added time through a superb volley from Cian Ashford just moments after his introduction to draw 1-1 with Czechia on Friday, and they are a point behind, though have played a game more. Denmark moved level with Wales when they drew 0-0 in Czechia on Tuesday.

England putting on a class of how to shoot from outside the box, Elliott with a strike arrowing into the bottom corner, 0-3! Both strikes were from a decent distance out.

0-3 FT. Very comfortable, more comfortable than the 0-3 win over Luxembourg.

2025 Under-21 EURO qualifying groups and state of play
Saturday, November 18, 2023

https://www.uefa.com/under21/news/027e- ... e-of-play/

Group A: Italy, Norway, Republic of Ireland, Latvia, Türkiye, San Marino

Italy went top on Thursday as they won 7-0 in San Marino and remain there after Norway won a Friday thriller 3-2 against Ireland, who had not previously dropped a point. Norway and Ireland, who host Italy on Tuesday, are both a point off the top.

Group B: Spain, Scotland, Belgium Hungary, Kazakhstan, Malta

The 2023 runners-up Spain have 12 points from four matches after beating Hungary 2-0, but Belgium's unblemished start is over following a 2-0 home loss to Scotland. Spain are three points clear of both Scotland and Belgium, who the leaders visit on Tuesday. Hungary, three points further back and having played a game more, welcome Scotland.

Group C: Netherlands, Georgia, Sweden, Moldova, North Macedonia, Gibraltar

The Netherlands, pipped to the 2023 quarter-finals by Georgia, reversed fortunes in their first October fixture with a 3-0 victory in Batumi, and after Thursday's 1-0 defeat of Gibraltar have five wins out of five without conceding a goal. Georgia returned to second place with a 1-0 win in North Macedonia, though Sweden can return to the top two if they beat the Netherlands on Monday.

Group D: Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Estonia, Israel

Poland go to Germany on Tuesday with both teams still yet to drop a point. Poland made it four wins out of four on Friday by defeating Israel 2-1 while Germany have nine points from three matches after beating Estonia 4-1, Youssoufa Moukoko getting his sixth goal of qualifying. Bulgaria are now three points further back after drawing 2-2 with Kosovo.

Group E: Switzerland, Romania, Albania, Finland, Montenegro, Armenia

Switzerland went top on Friday thanks to a 5-0 win against Armenia as Romania defeated previous leaders Albania by the same scoreline. Switzerland return to action on Tuesday with a home game against Romania, who are one point behind, as are Albania, who have played a game more. Finland and Montenegro are both six further back but have a game in hand on the top two.

Group F: Ukraine, England (holders), Serbia, Luxembourg, Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan

Ukraine have four wins from four after defeating Luxembourg 4-0 on Friday. They gained a last-gasp 3-2 victory against England in October, the Young Lions' first U21 away qualifying defeat since 14 November 2011, a run of 28 matches. England are within three points after Saturday's 3-0 win in Serbia, following up their 9-1 defeat of the same team a few days before the holders lost to Ukraine.

Group G: Portugal, Greece, Croatia, Faroe Islands, Andorra, Belarus

Portugal have four wins out of four, while Greece moved up to second on Thursday with a 3-0 defeat of the Faroe Islands, who are a point further back alongside unbeaten Croatia. Greece welcome Portugal on Monday hoping to cut the gap at the top to one point, while Belarus face Croatia.

Group H: France, Slovenia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus

Austria ended France's perfect start under Thierry Henry with a 2-0 win on Friday. That result leaves Austria within two points of both France (who do not play again in the group until September) and Slovenia. Bosnia and Herzegovina got off the mark with a 2-1 victory in Cyprus.

Group I: Wales, Iceland Denmark, Czechia, Lithuania

Unbeaten Wales ended Iceland's perfect start with a 1-0 win on Thursday, lifting them top of the group. Iceland are two points further back and one ahead of Denmark, who will look to preserve their unbeaten record in Wales on Monday.
