Perhaps the best game I've ever seen England U21 play! :mol:

Crowd is chanting we want ten!
Is it England are good or Serbia suck?

Go see for yourself. I think it's the former. Heads of course went down later to make pumping up the score easier.

Meanwhile, Ukraine did what we did, won 0-3 in Luxembourg. And NI won 0-1 in Azerbaijan.

A ruthless performance in front of goal. 27 shots, 17 on target, 8 in the back of the net (one was an own goal.)

@Lorric - I've watched the whole match back now. Serbia look like rabbits in head lights. After about goal 5 they looked like they gave up. Absolute dominance, Trafford didn't have many saves to make, think we may have a chance of defending this title come July 2025 in Bratislava.

2025 Under-21 EURO qualifying groups and state of play

https://www.uefa.com/under21/news/027e- ... e-of-play/

Group A: Republic of Ireland, Norway, Italy, Latvia, Türkiye, San Marino

The Republic of Ireland, who missed out on a debut finals last time in the play-offs, remain perfect after three games after beating Türkiye 3-2, San Marino 3-0 and, on Friday, Latvia 2-1 away. Norway hope to match them on Tuesday when they visit Italy, who have four points from two having won 2-0 in Türkiye but were previously held 0-0 in Latvia. Türkiye got off the mark by defeating San Marino 5-0 with a hat-trick between 80 and 87 minutes by Erencan Yardımcı.

Group B: Spain, Hungary, Belgium, Scotland, Kazakhstan, Malta

The 2023 runners-up Spain and Hungary both won two September games. However, on Friday a 3-1 loss in Scotland ended Hungary's perfect start. Belgium did go to six points from two matches as they defeated Malta 2-0. Spain return to group action on Tuesday in Kazakhstan.

Group C: Netherlands, Sweden, Georgia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Gibraltar

The Netherlands, pipped to the 2023 quarter-finals by Georgia, reversed fortunes in their first October game with a 3-0 victory in Batumi. That left the Dutch on a perfect nine points, three clear of their hosts, who had also won both their September fixtures. Sweden, who lost at home to North Macedonia last month, beat Moldova 4-0 on Friday to move level with Georgia, their hosts on Tuesday.

Group D: Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Estonia, Israel

Youssoufa Moukoko's hat-trick ensured Germany won 3-2 in Bulgaria and joined Poland (who they face on 21 November) on six points from two games. Bulgaria are two points behind but have played a match more.

Israel's October fixtures against Estonia and Germany have been postponed.

Group E: Switzerland, Albania, Finland, Romania. Montenegro, Armenia

Switzerland stayed perfect after two games by beating Montenegro 4-2 on Friday to wipe out the previous advantage of Albania, defeated 4-1 in Finland. Romania joined Finland and Montenegro on three points by beating Armenia 2-0.

Group F: England (holders), Ukraine, Luxembourg, Serbia, Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan

England, with several 2023 winners back in their squad as well as players that tasted success at U19 EURO in 2022, began their title defence with a 3-0 win in Luxembourg last month, then turned on the style on Thursday as they beat Serbia 9-1. Ukraine, semi-finalists earlier this year, are also on a perfect six points after defeating Northern Ireland and Luxembourg, and play England in Košice on Monday. Northern Ireland won 1-0 in Azerbaijan to join Luxembourg and Serbia on three points.

Group G: Portugal, Greece, Croatia, Faroe Islands, Andorra, Belarus

Portugal have three wins out of three after defeating Belarus 6-1 in Friday. Greece equalised in the 89th minute to hold Croatia 2-2 and stay second, four points behind Portugal, their hosts on Tuesday.

Group H: France, Slovenia, Austria, Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina

France, now under Thierry Henry, stayed perfect thanks to an added-time winner in their 2-1 victory in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Slovenia won 3-0 in Cyprus and are level with France, who have a game in hand. Austria, unbeaten and two points behind, visit Slovenia on Tuesday.

Group I: Wales, Denmark, Iceland, Czechia, Lithuania

Wales equalised in the sixth minute of added time through a superb volley from Cian Ashford just moments after his introduction to draw 1-1 with Czechia on Friday. That kept Wales unbeaten and took them a point ahead of Denmark, who play in Czechia on Tuesday. Iceland, 2-1 winners against Czechia in September, go to Lithuania.

Our guys (BiH) played decent yesterday. France had quality on their side, it was obvious but still, a sad moment when we lost the point in added time. After three games and two home games, we are still on 0 points :(

Ukraine attempted an overhead kick and missed, but it fell to another player and he scored through the legs of one of our defenders into the bottom corner.

Ukraine had a free kick to the side of the box and slam it straight in the top corner, 2-0.

HT 2-0. England have shown flashes of the good play against Serbia, but nowhere near as good. Not that I expected it would be, that was a very special performance. Was worried about Ukraine when we drew them, this team reached the semis of the last U21 Euro, and won the 2019 U20 World Cup.
