The 59th edition of the revamped Concacaf Champions Cup now includes 27 of the best clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean and five rounds (Round One, Round of 16, Quarterfinal, Semifinals, and Final).

The tournament will kick off on February 6th with eleven Round One matchups and will be followed by the Round of 16 in March, Quarterfinals and Semifinals in April and May, and a single-leg Final on Sunday, June 2nd.

The 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup winner will qualify for the 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup and will also join Club Leon (2023), Seattle Sounders FC (2022), and CF Monterrey (2021) as the region's four representatives in the 32-club 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The competition's complete match schedule is available here.

https://www.concacaf.com/champions-cup/ ... e-results/

The rosters have been selected and submitted by each club and are published as such. To be eligible to play in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup, all players must be registered with their club and the appropriate Federation and be eligible to play in any league match for the current playing season per the FIFA transfer deadlines in each country.

Clubs that have chosen to register fewer than 35 players can add additional players up to 44 hours before each match, provided their roster does not exceed 35 players. Once a player has been registered, they may not be removed or replaced.

Two days before each match, clubs must select a maximum of 23 players from their 35-player list to complete their final match rosters.

"Champions Battle" Unveiled as Official Anthem for a revamped Concacaf Champions Cup

https://www.concacaf.com/champions-cup/ ... pions-cup/

Miami, FL – Ahead of tonight's inaugural matches for the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup, Concacaf has released the competition's new official anthem. Named "Champions Battle," the anthem was produced by a renowned composer and keyboard player for the Rolling Stones, Matt Clifford, and was published by Warner Chappell Music (WCM).

The Concacaf Champions Cup is the region's premier men's club competition. The annual tournament, comprised of five rounds and twenty-seven of the best clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, crowns the Confederation's club champion and is the sole qualification route for the region's clubs to the new and expanded FIFA Club World Cup.

The 59th edition kicks off tonight with two exciting Round One matches in Central America. Comunicaciones of Guatemala will host Mexican heavyweights Monterrey, followed by the region's highest-ranked club and seven-time winners, Club America of Mexico, visiting Real Esteli in Nicaragua. The complete 2024 Champions Cup schedule is available here.

Inspired by the brand essence of "Epic Battles for Greatness," the anthem represents the different genres from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. When merged, it unites our diverse cultures, nations, and territories and promises to elevate the competition's experience to inspire players and fans to unparalleled heights.

Matt Clifford, known for his long-standing collaboration with the Rolling Stones since 1989, brings a wealth of musical expertise to this project. With prior work for various globally known sports organizations, Clifford's composition prowess is set to captivate fans and resonate with the spirit of competition that defines the Concacaf Champions Cup.

You can listen to “Champions Battle” on the official Concacaf YouTube channel here and below.

Concacaf Champions Cup | "Champions Battle"
"The marriage of sports and music, when it really works, is incredible" - Matt Clifford

“This expanded and re-branded Concacaf Champions Cup will elevate club football in our region to new heights and increase the relevance of our clubs and leagues on the global stage. A total of 27 clubs will compete to be crowned as the regional champion, and to earn the right to represent Concacaf at the FIFA Club World Cup. With 30 different clubs having won this title in its 62-year history, we know it will be extremely competitive on the pitch and it is that heritage and competitiveness that has inspired our new anthem, the Champions Battle,” said Concacaf President and FIFA Vice President, Victor Montagliani. “The matches begin this week and I believe the fans will enjoy some great rivalries which will be complemented by a bold and innovative new brand and this dramatic new anthem,” added Montagliani.

As the tournament unfolds, "Champions Battle" will reverberate through stadiums, creating a memorable connection between the passion of football and the power of music. Prepare to embark on a musical journey that mirrors the fierce competition and the journey to championship glory.

The collaboration between Concacaf and Matt Clifford was managed by the Concacaf Brand Department, led by Chief Administration Officer Alejandro Lesende, and Warner Chappel Music.

Club America remain atop Concacaf Club Rankings

https://www.concacaf.com/champions-cup/ ... -rankings/

MIAMI, Florida – The latest edition of the Concacaf Club Rankings (CCR) is out, with Mexican and Concacaf giants Club America remaining at the top of the Rankings for the third consecutive month.

The Confederation launched a revamped rankings system, with clubs gaining points for results in official domestic league matches, regional cup matches and Concacaf Champions Cup play.

Further detail explaining the rankings and how clubs earn points can be found here: Concacaf launches new ranking system for region’s clubs and leagues.

Club America continue run at top

Reigning Mexican champions and seven-time Concacaf Champions Cup winners Club America retained their spot atop the Rankings for the third straight month.

Club America overtook fellow Mexican side Monterrey for first-place in the Rankings last October 29 and have not looked back. Las Aguilas have now been at the top of the Rankings for 15 straight weeks and have reached 1,259 points, just seven points shy of Monterrey’s high-water mark of 1,266 in August 2023.

Club America claimed the 2023 Liga MX Apertura, defeating Tigres 4-1 on aggregate in the Final. To begin the 2024 Clausura, Club America have enjoyed an unbeaten record of 3W-2D-0L, with seven goals scored and just one conceded.

Top 10 loaded with Champions Cup teams

The Top 10 is rich with teams participating in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup, which begins on Tuesday night. The top two teams in the Rankings will be in action on Tuesday, with Monterrey visiting Comunicaciones of Guatemala, while leaders Club America visit Real Esteli of Nicaragua.

Tigres, who will face the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday in Champions Cup action, hold down the third spot, followed by 2023 Champions Cup winners Club Leon in fourth.

The Philadelphia Union are the highest-ranked team from the United States in the fifth position. The Union start their Champions Cup Round One series against Costa Rican heavyweights Deportivo Saprissa on February 20.

Liga MX side Toluca, who face Herediano of Costa Rica on Wednesday in Champions Cup Round One, are sixth, followed by fellow Mexican clubs Pachuca in seventh and Chivas in eighth. Pachuca advanced directly to the Round of 16 of the Champions Cup, while Chivas open their Champions Cup campaign on Wednesday against Canadian Premier League side Forge FC.

Rounding out the top 10 are a pair of MLS teams, Columbus Crew in ninth and Los Angeles FC in 10th position. Like Pachuca, the Columbus Crew will begin their 2024 Champions Cup in the Round of 16.
