That's why head said United, City just eat lower league teams for lunch.

Only found out from reading this that it went to penalties, was 3-0 last I looked!
Only the second time that the finalists have repeated, and the previous time was 1884 and 1885 (Blackburn Rovers and Queen's Park).

No to Superleague
He was a talent and one of the last one club men that never went to a bigger club. Shame he's turned into a conspiracy weirdo these days.bugylibicska wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 19:54 Matt Le Tissier - Footballing Genius

It's a pity Coventry didn't make it, the Final would be a unique achievement for them even if they got trampled by City.
The corpse of United is just prolonging the unavoidable.

We need to know if Stuart Attwell is a Luton fan – but Forest went too far with statement

Yes, a pity. I have seen the last 20 minutes of the second half, and the extra time: from what I have seen Coventry really deserved to qualify.
They don't apply this to offsides, only penalties and red cards.
Coventry not making it to the final was indeed a great shame. Their winner cancelled out for being what, 1mm offside? When they showed the offside line and the last attacker line they were almost on top of one another. Couldn't have been much in it. Either way, whoever went through was going to lose in the final.
Even if, for Coventry to play the final was already a great achievement.
If was very very close, and the VAR decided it was offside. For Coventry it was a very harsh decision, after such an unbelievable comeback.
Nobody applies clear and obvious to offsides. They draw lines and if the attacker is past the defender's line, they call offside. They don't give a margin of "maybe a few mm offside so we let it".
Not sure that “nobody” is correct, I might be wrong, but I don’t remember La Liga or Bundesliga (for example) using lines. Does anyone has a pointer to an IFAB decision on the subject?
