That's says Futsal Copa America, not Futsal WCQ, so do the highest ranked teams qualify for the Futsal WC?

Yes, the 2024 Futsal Copa America will be the qualifiers for 2024 Futsal WC: https://www.fifa.com/fifaplus/en/tourna ... hes-venues

It used to be that CONMEBOL held Futsal Copa America in odd years, and then a Futsal WC qualifying tournament in the even year when the Futsal WC was held.

But CONMEBOL has changed the schedule of Futsal Copa America to even years, and now use the one held before the Futsal WC to act as the qualifiers. So no more separate Futsal WC qualifying tournament.

Same idea for Beach Soccer. The Beach Soccer Copa America is now held in odd years, and will be used as the qualifying tournament for Beach Soccer WC held later in the year (the 2024 Beach Soccer WC was originally to be held in later 2023).

And the female version of the Futsal Copa America are now held in odd years, so the next one in 2025 should act as the qualifiers for the first edition fo the Women's Futsal WC in 2025.

To streamline the schedule. So 2 international tournaments in 4 years, instead of 3.

There are 13 nations engaged in the draw, but CAF only list 12 of them. For some reason, they forgot to list Libya.

Oh, I know the reason. Because it is the CAF, and their admins are always incompetent.

Anyway, here is the draw video: https://www.youtube.com/live/1DwIIhTaXiw?feature=shared

Here are the draw pots, based on geography:

Bye to final tournament: Morocco, Egypt, Angola

Pot 1: Mozambique, Zambia, Namibia, Tanzania (drawn into two ties)

Pot 2: Cameroon, Ghana, Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Libya, Mauritania (drawn into three ties)

Here are the draw results:

So here are the number of qualifying entries for each confederation, and the number of slots they are allocated in the final tournament

AFC: 31 teams, 5 spots (or 30 teams, 4 spots if you exclude Uzbekistan who automatically qualified as hosts) - 16% of teams qualify
CAF: 13 teams, 3 spots - 23% of teams qualify
CONCACAF: 12 teams, 4 spots - 33% of teams qualify
CONMEBOL: 10 teams, 4 spots - 40% of teams qualify
OFC: 8 teams, 1 spot - 12% of teams qualify
UEFA: 48 teams, 7 spots - 15% of teams qualify

And here are the number of teams who reached the round of 16 since the tournament was expanded to 24 teams (2012, 2016, 2021)

AFC: 3, 3, 5 / 5
CAF: 1, 1, 1 / 3
CONCACAF: 1, 1, 0 / 4
CONMEBOL: 4, 4, 4 / 4
OFC: 0, 0, 0 / 1
UEFA: 7, 7, 6 / 7 (only team who were eliminated in the group stage was Lithuania in 2021, who automatically qualified as hosts).

I know people on this forum like to complain about the slot allocation for every FIFA tournament, but among all of them the Futsal World Cup has to be have the most unbalanced slot allocation, in terms of both strength of confederation and proportion of representation. For example, how CONCACAF deserve to have 4 spots in the Futsal World Cup, given their low number of qualifying entries and their poor record in the final tournament, is quite beyond justification.
