Here are the final round matches (unless otherwise stated, all matches will take place on 04/19/24 at 20:00)
Beerschot VA - Patro Eisden Maasmechelen
Francs Borains - Dender
Lommel - KSK Beveren
KV Oostende - Standard U23
RFC Liège - KRC Genk U23
Seraing - Deinze
Zulte Waregem - Lierse Kempenzonen
RSC Anderlecht U23 - Club Brugge U23 (to be played on 04/20/24 at 15:00)

We are in for a thrilling end to the Challenger Pro League regular season, as five teams push to join Beerschot VA in the Jupiler Pro League next season, with three of them not even guaranteed a promotion playoff spot. Two other teams are still looking to get into the promotion playoffs, while two teams will look to avoid joining Standard U23 in Eerste Nationale/National 1 next season (and do a double relegation).

Here are the scenarios going into the final weekend:

Automatic promotion - Dender (51 points), Deinze (50), Lommel (49), Zulte Waregem (48), Patro Eisden Maasmechelen (48)
We have five teams all still in contention for the second automatic promotion place, leaving us for plenty of drama in this regard. For Dender, it is very simple: win and they will be in the JPL. If draw, then they will be promoted if none of the other four teams win. A defeat could still see them automatically promoted, provided that Deinze does not win, and the other three teams fail to win. Note that in this scenario, Patro Eisden can still win, so long as Dender still has a better GD.

Deinze will be promoted if they win and Dender does not, or if they draw, Dender loses, and the other three teams do not win. They and Dender are the only two teams in this group guaranteed a spot in the promotion playoffs.

For Lommel, they will be promoted if they win and neither of the two teams above them win. As for Zulte Waregem, a win, coupled with a Dender defeat, and draws or losses from Deinze and Lommel will see them return to the JPL after a year out. Finally, Patro Eisden can only be promoted if they win, while Dender and Deinze lose, while Lommel and Zulte fail to win. Moreover, Patro Eisden would have to overturn the GD of 9 between them and Dender. A very unlikely scenario, but still possible.

Promotion playoffs - Dender (51), Deinze (50), Lommel (49), Zulte Waregem (48), Patro Eisden Maasmechelen (48), RFC Liège (46), KSK Beveren (45)
A whopping seven teams can end up in the promotion playoffs, with a variety of scenarios possible.

Dender will enter the playoffs if any one of the teams who can still pass them, do so. In a similar sense, if Deinze loses/Dender wins, or if they draw and Dender does not lose/Lommel, Zulte, Patro Eisden win, they will be involved in the playoffs

Lommel will miss out on the promotion playoffs if they lose, Zulte avoids defeat (so long as the latter has more goals scored), and both Patro Eisden and RFC Liège win.

As for Zulte, they will drop out of the top 6 if they lose, and at least two of Patro Eisden, RFC Liège and Beveren win. If Beveren is one of two teams to win, they would have to overturn the 7 GD between them and Zulte, otherwise Zulte would still finish above them.

Patro Eisden will miss out on the playoffs if they lose and RFC Liège and/or Beveren win. A draw would also see them miss out if Zulte avoids defeat and RFC Liège wins.

RFC Liège and Beveren are on the outside looking in. Fortunately for the former, things are quite simple for them: a win, coupled with a loss from Lommel and/or a draw or defeat from Zulte Waregem and/or Patro Eisden will see them in the playoffs. For Beveren, things are a lot more difficult. They have to win, along with RFC Liège dropping points and either Patro Eisden and/or Zulte lose. However, should only Zulte (and RFC Liège) lose, then Beveren would have to overturn a GD disadvantage of 7.

Finally, a brief reminder about the playoffs. It will be a mini-tournament involving the teams finishing 3rd through 6th. The first round will be 3rd versus 6th and 4th against 5th. The winner of the playoffs will face the 2nd place team from the JPL's Playoffs 3 for the last spot in the JPL (and last spot in the CPL) next season. Note that all games in the playoffs are played over two games, and for the CPL playoffs, the higher ranked teams from the regular season will host the second leg. For the relegation/promotion playoff, the JPL team will host the second leg.

Relegation battle - KV Oostende (29), Seraing (28)

Thankfully, this battle is very, very simple. The only way KV Oostende join Standard U23 in the third tier next season is if they lose and Seraing wins. Any other combination of results will see Seraing suffer back-to-back relegation. If they finish level on points (Oostende loss + Seraing draw), Oostende will have the advantage as the have more wins
