Ligue 1 - MD21

Game of the week

PARIS SG - LILLE 3-1
Ramos 10' Ribeiro o.g. 17' Kolo-Muani 80'; Yazici 6'

XG: 2.43 - 1.48

Paris has Lille before the C1
Lille stayed alive for a long time thanks to Chevalier but never really worried PSG. Without Mbappé but with good Dembélé and Barcola, Paris temporarily takes an 11-point lead at the top of L1 and is ideally preparing for its round of 16 in the Champions League against Real Sociedad on Wednesday.
(lequipe.fr, google translation)

PARIS SG (4-1-4-1): Navas - Mukiele, D.Pereira, L.Hernandez (Hakimi 69'), Beraldo - Ugarte - Dembele (Barcola 62'), F.Ruiz (Vitinha 62'), Asensio, Kolo-Muani - Ramos (Zaïre-Emery 74')
Coach: L.Enrique
LILLE (4-2-3-1): Chevalier - Santos, Yoro, Ribeiro, Ismaily - Bentaleb, André (David 67') - Zhegrova (Ounas 67'), Gomes, Gudmundsson (Cabella 67') - Yazici (Haraldsson 81')
Coach: P.Fonseca

Man of the match

Ousmane DEMBELE
MR, 26, Paris SG & France (42 caps)
Career: Rennes - Dortmund - Barcelona - Paris SG (2023)
Titles:
- Winner of the World Cup 2018

Brest are 2nd! :applause: Gattuso's days (or even hours) with OM are counted.

The fight for CL spots is really unpredictable, while i think, but maybe i'm wrong, that PSG (with a 13 points advantage) might win the league again. I end the weekend with this daring prediction.

Gattuso has had a discontinuous performance with OM, he hasn't won in the league for 2 months, a long time... with Valencia he has never won 2 games in a row in LaLiga for example. I think his time is over, with the team he has he should be higher up in the table

Ligue 1 - MD22

Game of the week

BREST - MARSEILLE 1-0
Lees-Melou 88'
Red card: Mounié (Brest) 60'

XG: 1.80 - 0.50

Brest pushes OM
Outnumbered since the 60th minute, Brest snatched victory through courage in the final moments, thanks to Lees-Melou. Undefeated for 11 games, the Brestois move up to 2nd place. OM, lacking inspiration, fell further into crisis after a lackluster performance.
(lequipe.fr, google translation)

BREST (4-2-3-1): Coudert - Lala, Chardonnet, Brassier, Locko - Lees-Melou, Magnetti (Le Cardinal 81') - Del Castillo (Satriano 66'), Doumbia (Martin 66'), Pereira-Lage (Le Douaron 73') - Mounié
Coach: E.Roy
MARSEILLE (4-3-3): Blanco - Clauss, Mbemba, Balerdi, Garcia - Ounahi (Kondogbia 76'), Onana (Correa 90'), Harit (L.Henrique 76') - Sarr (Aubameyang 61'), Moumbagna, Ndiaye
Coach: G.Gattuso

Phocea or other OM fans may confirm or not but if Gattuso is indeed criticised as a coach the Chairman Pablo Longoria is also very criticised. The squad doesn't stop being changed at every market window and you cannot build a team in such conditions.

Gattuso is bad as a coach, didnt seem to have any direction or tactics. I think in the last 10 years, he is the worse with Michel. And he has been sacked today

But yes Longoria is more and more criticized, we don't even have a connection to the team as it keeps changing every six months. The club seems more like a platform of a train station than a football club. And the communication of the club is insane, between Benatia who destroys Clauss in a TV interview just before the match and Longoria who has literally disappeared of the media in this crisis.
And the name of the next coach for the end of the season doesn't help either : Jean Louis Gasset. I was thinking it was just a bad joke but no.

Ligue 1 - MD24

Game of the week

MONACO - PARIS SG 0-0

XG: 2.44 - 1.85

No winner between ASM and PSG
Paris and Monaco share the points. The Monegasques, initially more dangerous, came up against a very good Donnarumma, before Majecki in turn produced a very great second half to prevent the Parisians, more incisive after Mbappé's exit at half-time, from taking the 3 points.
(lequipe.fr, google translation)

MONACO (4-4-2): Majecki - Singo, Maripan, Kehrer, Maripan - Akliouche (Ben Seghir 70'), Fofana, Golovin, MInamino - Balogun, Ben Yedder
Coach: A.Hütter
PARIS SG (4-3-3): Donnarumma - Hakimi, Mukiele, Beraldo, L.Hernandez (N.Mendes 59') - Soler (Lee Kang-In 86'), Ugarte, Vitinha - Asensio (Barcola 39'), G.Ramos (Dembélé 59'), Mbappé (Kolo-Muani 46')
Coach: L.Enrique

Man of the match

Wilfried SINGO
DR, 22, Monaco & Ivory Coast (19 caps)
Career: Torino - Monaco (2023)
Title:
- Winner of the African Cup of Nations 2024

It’s the best possible draw for us of course but it’s not done yet. Wait and see!
