I have a question for you.

We are up to a high quality knock-out stages.
Since we have an extra "intruder" in the KO stages and one of the so-called "top top whatevers" was eliminated, do you no longer believe that we'll have "high quality knock-out stages"? :grin1:

Only 1 out of 12 of my list went out. Like if this fact would prove me wrong...it doesn't, most of them had an easy life in the group stage.
Even French teams almost in the relegation zone had no problems against "non-top top whatevers".

It's not about "proving right" or "proving wrong". It's about if having Sparta Praha instead of Real Betis in the EL KO stages "lowers its quality".

According to you, does it? :?

Edit: Or if having Copenhagen instead of Manchester United or PSV instead of Sevilla or Braga instead of Union Berlin.

Braga over Union Berlin and PSV over Sevilla are not suprises, ELO shows that PSV are better than Sevilla at the moment, and Braga are slightly better than Union Berlin. MU was a big flop indeed, every rule has exceptions, thankfully surprises in football are more common than in many other sports.
Betis behind Rangers and Sparta Praha was another surprise, though not as dramatic as MU behind Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

Brighton winning the group was a surprise only for you (you predicted them to finish third), Freiburg above Olympiacos for the second year in a row proved you wrong again (in your prediction the Greek team was above the German one).
Maybe the problem is not me overstimating teams from certain countrires, it's you understimating the same teams from certain countries.
