No, it was not PP. It was NEVER schedule for today.

To make this worse there is no Scottish Premiership fixtures this weekend as it's the 1/4 finals of the Scottish Cup.
Affo wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2024 15:26 Thanks @Greyn . Indeed in this situation, the first reserve match will be in play instead of the Scottish match.
I'm sorry but this isn't a very good response. No apology for a careless mistake. You're response when I made a more minor mistake during the Summer Series was somewhat desinilar.

I of all people appreciate all the work you do however to be the administrator of this great game is to take care and check your work. This kind of error is below the standard expected as it could really mess up people's scores (some people spend less time analysing bonus games - myself included sometimes).

This isn't the first occasion you've made a careless miscommunication/mistake - you've been corrected on a number of occasions by a number of players who's job it isn't to correct the work of an administrator who (should) be very 'on the ball' with the work. You also got one of the kick-off times wrong which wasn't (to my knowledge) changed.

To echo your own words:
Please do take more care.
People rightly expect better. No previous admin has made so many mistakes.

I once again thank you for reviving this great game but credit from that isn't enough to become unimpeachable and/or indispensable.

I felt now was the right time, after weeks of considering it, to put this on public record. This was the final straw.

Due to not being logged on i by accident read this previous post. I am totally flabbergasted. I am extremely happy with how this game is organized, this is all volunteer work, mistakes happen, no problem, already a method is set up to deal with this kind of things happening. Thanks Affo, I hope you keep up the good work and are not bothered by this kind of weird posts….

I endorse Ricardo and fabiomh posts.
I add: if sometimes there is a minor error, we are around 20 players, so chances are that one of us will notice and correct it. It's also a kind of team work after all, in which @Affo does the 99% and us the remining 1%.

I completely endorse Matt's posts.

Just to be unambiguously clear here - I'm not suggesting I'm unhappy in general with Affo's administration of this game.

I'm simply offering constructive criticism to simply suggest that he should maybe just check his work a bit more. When it comes to results I have no issue as they can be easily amended but when it comes to dates and KO times it is vital that they are correct as it could effect a deadline in future, lookily on this occasion it didn't.

I understand my comments about unimpeachable may have been misunderstood - I didn't mean it as in to impeach (to remove from office) I meant as in it doesn't make them unquestionable and except from criticism and being held to account.

Someone tried to remove Affo from office a few months ago and I supported him wholeheartedly and I would do so again if there was such a ridiculous, pathetic attempt. The individual concerned had issues with part of the administration (Friday KO times) which I agreed with but the way he went about it was fundamentally wrong.

I had concerns as this could quite easily lead to someone's score being swayed for the reasons I mentioned above. When it became clear the Scottish game was next week I simply suggested he should've removed it from OP and replaced it with Bonus game so people don't spend (in some cases quite a lot of) time predicting a game which won't be used.

I hope that this was taken on board. Affo still has my full support in administrating this game. That's all I have to say on the matter.
