@Club-Mate what is your opinion of him? He just played for Sturm Graz in CL-Q2 against PSV, and will now move to Asia to play in the AFC Champions League. Not many players have played in the Champions League of two confederations in the same season!

Former Austrian international Jantscher signs for Kitchee
Hong Kong: Reigning Hong Kong Premier League champions Kitchee have confirmed the signing of former Austria international striker Jakob Jantscher ahead of their involvement in the AFC Champions League™ 2023/24.
The 34-year-old joins after completing his second stint at Sturm Graz, where he was named Austrian Bundesliga Player of the Year in the 2021/22 season after scoring 14 goals and providing 15 assists throughout the campaign.
“Having left SK Sturm Graz for the second time in my career, (it) wasn’t easy at all,” Jantscher told Kitchee’s official club media.
“I left the club for the first time for a new challenge when I was 21, and I left the club for the second time with the same purpose at the age of 34. This is going to be my first time playing in Asia, and I am really looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
Jantscher first departed Sturm Graz in 2010 to join Red Bull Salzburg, where he was a member of the 2011/12 Bundesliga-winning side, before playing for Dynamo Moscow on loan and featuring for NEC Nijmegen, Luzern and Caykur Rizespor before returning to Graz in 2018.
He played 23 times for Austria during a seven-year international career that started in 2009 and included the UEFA Euro 2016 championships.
Jantscher last played for Graz on August 19 against SC Austria Lustenau as a late substitute and was a member of the squad that represented the club in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers when they were eliminated by PSV Eindhoven.
He joins a Kitchee squad that won the Hong Kong Premier League, Hong Kong FA Cup and Senior Shield last season.
“Jantscher’s technical ability is unquestionable, and he is capable of playing as a striker or he can also operate in both wide positions,” said Kitchee coach Alex Chu.
“We are about to start our AFC Champions League journey, and his arrival can definitely enhance the technical quality, dynamism, and depth in the team.”
Kitchee are appearing in the group stage of the AFC Champions League for the third season in a row and will be aiming to emulate last year’s performance, when they progressed to the knockout phase for the first time in the club’s history.
Chu’s side have been drawn in Group F and will kick off their campaign against two-time champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on September 20 before also facing Thailand’s Bangkok United and Lion City Sailors from Singapore.

For me BVB's biggest problem is the lack of creativity in the midfield, but getting a classic striker is also a good thing since Haller struggles in Dortmund, maybe still because of the illness. Or his style doesn't fit the team. Füllkrug is a good choice if you play with a lot of crosses, he is also a fighter in the box.
Jantscher (34) is already at the end of his career and a move to Hongkong guarantees him a good unexpectable income which he could not get with Sturm. He has leadership qualities and still is a good player allthough last season he was injured long time. For the season 2021-22 he was voted for the best player in Bundesliga still ahead of Adeyemi he won this opinion poll amongst coaches and club presidents already one time before. For Sturm this departure even fits into their strategy to buy younger good players and develop them and then sell them. Good luck for Jakob Jantscher in Hongkong!
Kitchee, who won the last three Hong Kong Premier League titles, have signed a few players with good international experience recently: Kim Shin-wook, who played for South Korea in the 2014 and 2018 World Cups; Ogenyi Onazi, who were in Nigeria's squads for the same two tournaments; and now Jantscher, who represented Austria at Euro 2016. The club reached the round of 16 of the AFC Champions League for the first time last season, and their group this season (Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of South Korea, Bangkok United of Thailand, and Lion City Sailors of Singapore) seems reasonable so they have a good chance to emulate or hopefully better their 2022 performance.

As expected, PSG improved their offer and signed Kolo Muani very late for 95m €. The bad thing: the deadline was already over in Germany (18:00 CET) and EIntracht haven't signed a replacement before. They already signed two strikers, but they weren't planned as replacement as they are a different type of strikers, more useful for counter attacks. But okay, the ECL group is not hard, they should qualify and then sign a top striker in the winter. Oh and they sent EL hero Rafael Borré to Werder Bremen, loan deal. Weird thing. After Muani's exit he would be their striker again, just like in the EL winning season...
A few hours before selling Muani they signed a very talented left back from Saint-Etienne, also U21 player for France. 7,5m €.
Disaster for Bayern on deadline day: they were looking for a "number 6" the whole time and now it seemed like they finally got one, Palhinha from Fulham, NT player for Portugal. He did the medical check in Munich already, but Fulham only wanted to give green light if they find a replacement. They didn't. Bayern would have paid 65m €. Now they also have to wait for winter, just like Eintracht. Something amateurish never happened before at Bayern. Before that they even sold Gravenberch to Liverpool for 40m € instead of waiting if the Palhinha deal goes through. So in midfield and defense their squad is really thin now.

Both Tanguy Ndombele and Davinson Sanchez to Galatasaray is official now.
