Re: English Football 2023/24

He's done really well whenever he has played. He will probably leave in the summer, as he's too good to be a number two. At 31, a starting job for a team outside the relegation dogfight and the biggest contract of his career would be deserved recognition. He has had 14 appearances last season and 1...

Re: Euro 2024 Group D: Poland - Netherlands - Austria - France

I don't understand this choice of having a shorter squad. Why can't Nkunku be the 26th player? And if not Nkunku, why not someone else like Diaby? Isn't there a 26th French player worthy of participating in Euro 2024? Didn’t Deschamps do the same thing for World Cup 2022? Called up 25 initially, an...

Re: Ice Hockey

Too many penalties is why we lost 3-4. They scored on one of them, and then with 6:30 left to give them another one for too many men on the ice is just infuriating. We pulled the keeper with a little over 2:30 left, put them under pressure and even got a powerplay with a little over 30secs left, but...

Re: Ice Hockey

Going at it with Denmark, extremely even stats and on the scoreboard as well, 3-3 after two periods.

Our third goal was sweet, one of theirs threw an elbow, and served his 2mins, was just heading back towards the action but too late. Still, he got a great view of a sweet shot!

Re: 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup

It never seems to go our way when we outscore others on the bid assessments, but if Brazil's bid was better then can't argue with their selection, and it might be a good boost for women's football in South America.

Re: English Football 2023/24

All those resources City have, making it so when there's an injury in a crucial game they can sub in *checks notes* a free transfer from Arminia Bielefeld for a match-winning contribution. WS marks - Final ranking (average of the best 17 performances) Best XI .................... Re: 2024/25 UEFA Youth League

I should have a look and see how the rest of our representatives did. Manchester City probably the second best team in the country after United. Arsenal were 3rd in the South, should be good representatives. They had the best GD in the South with +40, 9 more than winners Chelsea, and their 83 goals ...

They should send Albania through the qualifiers in order to earn the World Cup place like everyone else.

Re: English Football 2023/24

Crystal Palace have won the Premier League International Cup! :applause: It's an U23 tournament between lots of English teams and a bunch of foreign teams. Manchester City won the first one, but then Villarreal, Porto back to back, Bayern and PSV won it. The final last year was Crystal Palace vs PSV...

Re: English Football 2023/24

Quite something how two teams can both be P37, W17, D6, L14 and one has a +21 GD and the other has a -3 GD. Newcastle should still be favourites for Europe as long as United don't win the FA Cup. Brentford away is easier than Brighton away, and they just need to win to make it impossible for United ...

Re: Ice Hockey

A comfortable 3-0 win for Switzerland. They got a penalty which Whistle saved, then two quick goals, the third came late in the second period. Even though we got several powerplays, we didn't really threaten.

Difficult second half, but the good work of the first half sees us through 2-0! After 5 previous semi final eliminations, we're going to our first ever final, and then to the Dominican Republic! :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy:
