Re: Third European Cup plans (2021- )
No team will deliberately want to finish in a lower position, just to have a chance to get more matches in a lower level competition. Even if the difference in prestige isn't that big. Maybe people in the board of a club might think this way, but not the players and coach. They would never go onto ...

Re: French season 2019/20
it's our business model to sell our best players every season (like all French clubs but PSG). I have no frustation with this nor with the financial power of PSG. We are simply not playing on the same planet. In spite of this we are the second budget in France (or third with Monaco if you take into...

Re: Euro 2020
Picking some shitty newspapers like the Sun and thinking this is England is the same of what Sun did, picking some animals and thinking this is Bulgaria. Its just nonsense.
I like to read things about more notable people like Hristo Stoichkov (https://abola.pt/Nnh/Noticias/Ver/810203)

Re: Third European Cup plans (2021- )
Finishing 2nd in CL gives you a harder opponent than finishing 3rd and go to EL. Still, teams prefer to finish higher. I guess the objective is playing in the higher level not with the weakest opponents. BUT, if coefficient points are not distributed smoothly then there will be even bigger problems...

Re: Euro 2020
This is not a problem of football but modern society. Nationalist and far right movements are getting stronger, either in USA, UK, France, Hungary, Spain, just name it. And more problems to governments and police forces, better for that far right parties. This shouldn't be sweapt under the carpet an...

Re: Third European Cup plans (2021- )
Idon't know how well informed https://www.footballseeding.com/country-ranking/a2019-2020/ is, but they talk about the first KO round: 3rd in CL GS plays play-off match against 2nd in EL GS 3rd in EL GS plays play off match against 2nd in ECL GS Though it is interesting I wonder 1. how will this be ...

Re: Third European Cup plans (2021- )
I've never heard about the 'The European Leagues' organisation and I don't know if they have any influence at all, but I like their proposals: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/oct/08/premier-league-could-lose-fourth-automatic-champions-league-place Yes, it is an organization which connects...

Re: Rugby WC in Japan - 2019
What if a knock-out match can not be played? Delayed. But there are several days (one week between the 1/4s and the 1/2s. And delaying the final isn't too hard) and only a few KO games (8) in only 3 stadiums. I find the decision outragious. But I also understand why they cannot simply play the game...

Re: Rugby WC in Japan - 2019
Its a hurricane with thousands and thousands of people relocated for safety reasons. This is not just a competition between friends, its something planned months before. They have done the only thing they could have. Its boring and messing with the teams, yes, but they couldn't do other things. And ...

Re: Greek Football Season 19/20
Before VAR you had to pay to 3 referees to fix the match. Now you pay to 5 referees.
VAR without offside line? Good idea. At least they didn't used a transmission of a TV from a club with a offside line not very square.

Re: 2019/2020 CL Group G: Zenit - Benfica - Lyon - Leipzig
There is a difference between being a troll or having a personal opinion (that can or can't be different from mine). I don't care the nationality of the troll. And yes, 2017-18 was a patetic season, while last was below expectations, as this CL season of FC Porto was also patetic or Braga last EL se...

Re: 2019/2020 CL Group G: Zenit - Benfica - Lyon - Leipzig
og2002gr, I haven’t “pre-decided” anything, my opinions are always changing, some teams exceed my expectations and I congratulate them, while others can’t meet them and I criticize them. You’re the one with “pre-decided” ideas that then you stubbornly defend forever despite the multiple counter-exa...

Re: 2019/2020 EL Group F: Arsenal - Frankfurt - Standard Liège - Vitória SC
Arsenal youngsters were impressive! Sometimes motivation and hard work overpass quality and experience. Eintracht not as comfortable as they were in their last EL campaign. Still an important win that gives the same 3 points. Arsenal A > Arsenal B > Standard [already proved] ManCity A > ManCity B >...
