Expected win for AZ Alkmaar, and disappointing result for Apollon in Liechtenstein.

Congratulations Dnipro-1!
Their situation here is similar to Lech's situation in Group D: they have a 2 points advantage over the two teams behind them, they don't have to play against the mighty AZ Alkmaar in the following three rounds and the teams behind them will, and in round 6 when they play against AZ Allmaar they may be already qualified.
Dnipro-1 lost twice against AEK Larnaca from Cyprus in the EL qualifiers in August, but this time against another Cypriot team in the Conference League groups in September they succeeded.

Expected win for AZ Alkmaar.
They're now in a winning streak of 3 Conference League matches, the longest in their history alongside another from last season (Jablonec and Cluj x2).
By the way, Apollon changed more players in its starting XI than FCSB between rounds 2 and 3. Why is nobody calling them match-fixers too?
Apollon starting XI in round 2 vs Dnipro-1:
Aleksandar Jovanovic; Panayiotou, Peybernes, Roberge and Aleesami; Kyriakou and Coll; Shahar, Ba and Khammas; Pittas
Apollon starting XI in round 3 vs AZ Alkmaar:
Aleksandar Jovanovic; Euclides Cabral, Artymatas, Vukasin Jovanovic and Khammas; Kyriakou and Spoljaric; Joosten, Shahar and Pittas; Henty
FCSB changed four players and they're match-fixers, while Apollon changed six and isn't?

Vaduz really deserves applause. At least they're fighting. They showed good resistance in every game of the group even if they are near the bottom of the Swiss 2nd division.
I think Dnipro will likely defeat Apollon Limassol and get the spring ticket. Likewise, AZ Alkmaar will likely beat Vaduz and play against Dnipro for the top spot on the last matchday. I keep my initial prediction for final rankings.
Az Alkmaar
Dnipro
Apollon Limassol
Vaduz

Congratulations Apollon and Dnipro-1!
Apollon finally got its first win in round 4, and today must win again against Dnipro-1 or they'll be eliminated.
Dnipro-1 only needs a draw today to qualify.
Vaduz can't win the group anymore but they can still advance if they win twice and Dnipro-1 loses twice.
AZ Alkmaar will qualify today with a win in Liechtenstein, or with a draw too if Apollon doesn't win.

Congratulations AZ Alkmaar and Dnipro-1!
They've both progressed from this group and now they'll fight for the first spot this week in Netherlands. AZ Alkmaar can't lose to keep it, while Dnipro-1 must win to get it.
It would be interesting if Dnipro-1 could meet once again AEK Larnaca this season, this time in the Conference League playoffs. Would AEK Larnaca prevail once again, or this time it would be different?
It would also be interesting to see AZ Alkmaar meeting Bodo/Glimt, the team that eliminated them last season.

I understimate Dnipro 1 and overstimate Apollon.
A rematch against AEK Larnaca would be interesting to see if Dnipro really improved so much or if Apollon were just very weak.

Initially, the group image was too weak to be a test for AZ Alkmaar. But I think Dnipro played better football than anyone expected. Due to the war, Dynamo Kyiv appeared in a fall without a parachute, while Shaktar and Dnipro somehow managed to survive. Let's not forget Vaduz. Coming this far is a great achievement for them.Jua Ferreira wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 02:20Vaduz really deserves applause. At least they're fighting.
