Ochoa has played at 3 World Cups. In 2014, he shut out Brazil with so many great saves, and so nearly shut out the Dutch. In 2018, he faced 30 shots on goal and saved 25 of them! Today he saved a penalty.

For me he IS one of the great keepers at this level because he's proven it over several World Cups now.

Yes, Guillermo Ochoa is one of the World's best goalkeepers, and he proved it again today.

This is his 5th World Cup although he was an unused sub in 2006 and 2010.

He won the Gold Cup thrice (2009, 2015 and 2019), and last year he was a bronze medalist in the Olympic Games.

You can even say that he won the Gold Cup a fourth time in 2011, but in that tournament he was a sub an only played one game, the starter was Talavera.

I watched the Saudi Arabia-Croatia friendly a week ago in which Saudi Arabia completely dominated Croatia B in the first half and a good part of the second half. Croatia established the balance only in the last 20 minutes or so with the entry of Modrić, Perišić, Kovačić, Kramarić and Oršić and in the end happily won 1:0. The Saudis were surprisingly good and I said that it will not be easy for anyone against them at the WC. However, they surprised me with this victory against Argentina, I think they will surely beat Poland, while it will be more difficult against Mexico, it is never easy to beat the Mexicans even though the Mexicans are not at the level they were at a few years ago.
Bravo for Saudi Arabia :applause: , a huge success that will raise the popularity of football in that part of the world, I hope they will pass the group.

There's a big question mark, though, will Saudi Arabia make this stunning win count and advance? Argentina might benefit if finish 2nd by avoiding Brazil in the semis.
Argentina finishing second would probably mean France in R16 and England in QF. I’m not sure that is necessarily a benefit.

Plus they already beat Brazil in the Copa America final, nor did they lose to them in qualifying. They have no reason to fear Brazil, if anything it's the other way around.

Brazil are the No.1 favourites in my mind and probably I'm not alone. If Argentina have nothing to fear Brazil, why they'd fear England?

They shouldn't fear anyone.

Our tactics vs Mexico, 2nd most frequent passes in our team were long balls from Szczęsny to Lewandowski. Number of key passes - 0.

This is so embarrassing. Michniewicz should learn from Japan's coach, how to take a risk and play with courage, determination, vision and idea.

Man of the match according to goalpoint was Szczesny, that saved all 5 of Saudi Arabia's shots on goal, including the penalty kick.

Argentina will be eliminated if they lose against Mexico later today.

Not a good day for Guillermo Ocha, Argentina scored twice from only two shots on goal.

Mexico hanging by a thread, they need a 4-0 win to advance for sure if I'm not mistaken.

All 4 teams alive. Argentina must beat Poland to top the group. Mexico must beat Saudi Arabia to avoid going home and they keep an eye on the goal differences. Mexico have 0:2 while Poland have 2:0.

And to be complete Saudi Arabia advance with a win over Mexico. A draw may be enough if Argentina defeat Poland
