The most unattractive group in the tournament, but we have 2 semifinalist here.

Just as Group G in 2018. And both teams met again in the small final : Belgium - England.

Canada was the most attractive, played offensively but did not score a single point. :D Everyone else played with the goal of not losing, with solid defense. :dontknow:

Croatia and Belgium could be expected in the semi-finals, but nobody could really have expected Morocco so far. :o The poor Canadians were unlucky, they fell into a group with the World runner-up and semi-finalist of the League of Nations, a semi-finalist from Russia and the current FIFA number 2, and the biggest sensation of this championship, Morocco. If Canada had been in another easier group, they would probably have done much better, they showed a lot of good things. :dontknow:

Canada were enjoyable, for sure, and with my family links in the country I wish them many more World Cups. But I think their defensive naivety and lack of composure in taking shots would have been fatal in any group here. This was a massive learning curve for the team.
