There's a Scottish team who refuses to bow out of Europe! Hibs are getting the result at Nantes so far.

Crvena Zvezda 3-3 AZ Alkmaar (3-4 PSO)
AZ Alkmaar progressed as expected. They have an unusual attraction for penalty shootouts, last season at this stage they eliminated Angers in a PSO, then in the following stage they did the same to Villarreal, and in the last 16 round they were eliminated by Juventus also in a PSO.
Crvena Zvezda couldn't progress from this stage for the second season in a row. This time it was closer than last season against Empoli, but they were eliminated anyway.

Rukh Lviv 6-2 Galatasaray
Rukh Lviv progressed as expected. This time it was a lot easier than in the previous round against Zaglebie.
Galatasaray never overwintered in its previous five participations starting from the group stage, and this time starting from the domestic path they couldn't do it either.

Genk 10-1 Coleraine
Genk progressed as expected. The 6-1 win in the second leg was the biggest win in their UYL history.
If even Chelsea lost heavily against Genk earlier this year, why should Coleraine be any different? At least they prevailed against Pobeda in the previous round, and perhaps in the future we'll see some of these players playing for the senior team in the Conference League.

Hajduk Split 6-1 Apolonia
Hajduk Split progressed as expected. Fourth UYL win in a row, the longest winning streak in their UYL history. And they are in an undefeated streak of 9 UYL matches. Last season despite not being defeated they were eliminated by Atlético Madrid in the following stage after a penalty shootout. Will they reach further this time?

MTK 2-1 Ashdod
Congratulations MTK! :applause:
Image
They keep improving season after season. In 2019/2020 they were eliminated in round 1 by Zrinjski. Then in the following season, 2021/2022, they eliminated Sparta Praha in round 1 and reached round 2 where they were eliminated by Genk. And now in their third season they eliminated Jelgava and Ashdod and reached round 3.

Trencin 3-6 Panathinaikos
Congratulations Panathinaikos! :bouncy:
Image
Last season Slovakian participant Zilina eliminated Greek participant PAOK with two wins, aggregate score 7-1. This time it was the Greek participant Panathinaikos eliminating Slovakian participant Trencin with two wins.
Will Panathinaikos now become the first Greek team reaching the UYL last 16 with the current format of 64 participants? (Olympiacos did it in 2014/2015 but with only 32 participants and no domestic path yet)

Nantes 1-3 Hibernian
Congratulations Hibernian. :bouncy:
Image
This was easier for them than the previous round against Molde, where they needed a penalty shootout to progress. Here they did it winning both legs.
It's the second season in a row that France starts with 3 participants but only Paris is able to overwinter. At least last season their were more competitive, with LOSC getting 10 points in the group stage and Angers only losing to AZ Alkmaar in a penalty shootout. This time Marseille couldn't win a single game in the group stage and Nantes lost twice against Hibernian.
Will Hibernian reach the last 16 round, something that Celtic, Rangers and Hamilton Academical never did?

AIK 3-3 Young Boys (8-9 PSO)
Young Boys progressed as expected, but... it's still impressive to survive after losing the first leg at home 0-3, and then away playing the last 31 minutes in numerical disadvantage!
Records and Statistics:
 Champions League (all 141 participants - 1992/1993 to 2019/2020)
 Europa League (all 215 participants - 2009/2010 to 2019/2020)
 UEFA Youth League (all 162 participants - 2013/2014 to 2019/2020)

Hibernian amazing. I suppose they must be good to have got over Celtic and Rangers to be here.

Scotland still lives in UEFA competition this season! :)

Probably same format as CL - top 8 go straight to R16, 9-16 to playoffs.
The matches in LP would also be the same as CL
