This may be too much. Haverfordwest County signed in June 2023 former Chelsea and Fulham academy player, and England U-20 international Martell Taylor-Crossdale. In July 2023, the club signed Maltese international Luke Tabone from Gżira United.

To be fair, even La Fiorita has signed the now 41 year-old former Serie A striker and Argentinean international Germán Denis.
The Andorran clubs are also able to attract quite a few former La Liga players who like to experience a European adventure at the end of their careers too.
But I'm more surprised why even Domzale are such heavy favorites over Balzan, considering how many upsets Maltese clubs have managed the last two or three years.

I was surprised, too, because of Domzale and Maribor are so heavy favourites. Birkirkara are almost European regulars, once - only a few years back - they've reached the 3rd round after dispatching Siroki Brijeg and Hearts of Midlothian! They've already met Maribor like 10 years ago and lost 2:0 away and played a 0:0 in Malta. Balzan were drawn with Domzale last year as well. They've lost both games by a single goal! And who couldn't recall Gzira United knocking out Hajduk Split?
