Fri. 1 March 2030 Sporting 2, Albacete 1 At 14', Cote scores to give Sporting the lead--1-0. Agus ties for el Alba at 34'--1-1 now at the half. And it's still 2-1 at 60'. At 62', Otero makes it 2-1 for Sporting. And that goal proves to be a winner.

1400 Eldense 2, Villarreal "B" 0 Chapela converts a pk at 38', as a result of which Eldense leads at halftime--1-0. Dumic makes it 2-0 at 65', and that's the final.

1615 Espanyol 0, Huesca 0 Scoreless at the half. And scoreless it ends.s

1615 Ferrol 2, Racing Santander 2 At 3', Alves gives Racing the lead; at 8', Alvaro ties for Ferrol--1-1 at the half. At 66', Alvaro makes it 2-1 for Ferrol, but Peque converts a pk for Racing Santander at 93'--2-2 is the final.

1830 Oviedo 3, Levante 2 Dela scores for Levante at 44'--0-1 at the half. Oviedo scores at 54' and 59' to give Oviedo the lead. But Carlos ties for Levante at 76'--2-2. At 81', Calvo gives Oviedo the lead once more--3-2.

2130 Burgos 3, Cartagena 0 At 35', Curro gives Burgos the lead--1-0. Curro makes it 2-0 at 71'. Bermejo makes it 3-0 at 98'; that's the final.

2100 Leganés 0, Eibar 2 #1 hosts #3. Nolaskoain at 11' and Bautista at 33' give Eibar a two-goal lead at the half, and lifts Eibar to within a point of the league lead if it holds up. And 0-2 is indeed the final.

Mon. 4 March 2030 Elche 3, Alcorcón 0 At 10', Mourad gives Elche the lead--1-0. At 27', Tete converts a pk for Elche--2-0. At 37', Marcau makes it 3-0, now in the second half. And 3-0 is the final.

1830 Eibar 0, Burgos 1 Scoreless at the half. At 82', Nolaskoain of Eibar scores an own goal--0-1, and Burgos wins it and climbs into the top six.

2100 Alcorcón 1, Espanyol 1 Espanyol could climb to the top with a win over 20th place Alcor. Braithwaite scores at 65' to lift Espanyol into first place--0-1. But Chema ties it for Alcor at 76', and Espanyol needs a goal to lead the league--1-1. And thus it ends.

Mon. 11 Mar. 2030 Amorebieta 0, Leganés 1 Scoreless first half. Lega needs only a tie to be alone at the top of Second Divisiion, and a win would put them atop by three points. Lega scores at 77', Cruz the scorer--0-1. And Lega holds on to win.

1830 Cartagena 1, Andorra 0 Fontán gives the home team the lead at 41'. Halftime. Cartagena goes on to a one-goal win.

1830 Villarreal "B" 1, Leganés 2 Forés gives the Mini-Sub the lead at 8'. Halftime. Can the Top of the Drop hold on to beat the league leaders :?: 3,031 on hand. The Mini-Sub looked like a winner until 83', when Sergio González put in a rebound to tie; at 85', Jorge Sáenz gave the away team the lead--1-2. The comeback win puts Lega six points ahead of second-place Elche, which plays tomorrow.

2100 Espanyol 1, Tenerife 1 A win would lift Espanyol into second place, at least for the moment. Scoreless at the half. At 84', Gragera gives Espanyol the lead, but at 90', Sergio ties for Tenerife--1-1 the final.

1615 Vallladolid 3, Eibar 1 At 2', Bautista gives Eibar the lead--0-1. At 11', Berrocal of Eibar sees a red card on the "last man" rule. Halftime. A win for Eibar would lift them to second place. 20,286 on hand. But at 57', Meseguer ties it for Valladolid--1-1. And at 60', Sylla gives Valladolid the lead--2-1. At 69', Salazar makes it 3-1 for Valladolid. Valladolid climbs into the top six; Eibar will remain fourth.

1830 Levante 3, Elche 2 At 22', Tete Morente heads in to give Elche the lead--0-1. Elche leads at the half. Can Elche go on to win their fifth in a row :?: Good start by Elche in the second half :arrow: Mario Gaspar heads in a corner and it's 0-2. But at 67', things change with a pk awarded to Levante--converted by Dela at 68'--1-2 and a brand new game :!: Can Elche hold on :?: No :!: At 77', Brugué ties it for Levante as he breaks away and beats the goalie with a wonderful shot--2-2. At 94', Dani Gómez gives Levante the lead--3-2; whatta comeback :!: I was rooting for Elche, but I gotta admit--this was fútbbol at it's best. Elche falls to third place; Espanyol is now second on GD.

1830 Mirandés 0, Zaragoza 0 Scoreless first half. Scoreless second half.

2100 Racing Santander 2, Eldense 1 Racing moves into sixth place--a playoff spot--with the win; goals by Peque at 26' and Baturina at 71' for the home team; Juanito at 93' brings too little, too late for Eldense.

Mon. 25 March 2030 Albacete 1, Ferrol 1 Quiles scored for el Alba at 26'; Losada tied it for Ferrol at 52'--1-1 the final.

Eibar pours it on--Konrad at 85' and Matheus at 86' raise the count to 5-0. At 91', Chapela scores the gol de la honra for Eldense--5-1 the final.

1615 Andorra 1, Mirandés 0 Scoreless first half. At 79', Karrikaburu gives Andorra the lead--1-0. And that goal proves to be the winner.

2030 Elche 0, Oviedo 2 full time. At 14', Colombatto gives Oviedo the lead--0-1 at the half. 19,270 on hand watch Oviedo hang on, thanks to goalie Leo Román at 77' and 84', and Paulino ices the win at 93', lifting Oviedo into a playoff spot--they're in third place at the moment, but could be passed by two or three other teams as the jornada is played out. Elche is sixth at the moment, in the last playoff spot.

1615 Eldense 0, Andorra 2 full time. "Los de Abajo" are doing well all of a sudden.

1830 Levante 2, Zaragoza 1 full time.

At 53', Nico Melamed gives Espanyol the lead--2-1. 23,233 reported on hand. At 65', Aguado of Espanyol sees a second yellow, and Katy bar the door. Espanyol holds on to win and now occupies second place.

1830 Tenerife 2, Eibar 1 Now at the half and 1-1. And at 87', Tenerife takes the lead--2-1, and holds it to win.

2100 Cartagena 0, Valladolid 2 Full time.

Mon. 8 April 2030 Racing Santander 0, Alcorcón 1 A win would lift Santander to third place. But the result is a huge surprise, as Alcorcón climbs out of the drop with an unexpected win. Víctor García scored the winner for the visitors.

Fri. 12 April 2030 Leganés 0, Espanyol 0 #1 hosts #2. Spanish press bills this game as "Winner has a lock on First Division for next season." Perhaps a wee might exaggerated . . . but hey, it would be a great one to attend :!: Game ends in a scoreless tie, so Leganés remains with a four-point lead ahead of Espanyol and at least four points ahead of Eibar and Valladolid.

1830 Valladolid 1, Eldense 0 Can Valladolid put a couple of wins together :?: Scoreless first half. At 81', Monchu gives Valladolid the lead--1-0. This would be sufficient to lift Valladolid into a tie for second place. And Valladolid hangs on to win.

2100 Levante 1, Amorebieta 2 Full time. Can the latter beat the drop :?: Levante took the lead at 65', but Jauregi at 68' and Unzueta at 89' scored to win it for Amorebieta, at the moment above the drop on GD.
