FT - Sassuolo vs Inter 1-0
I can't believe it, the hosts were at serious risk of relegation to ''B'', with the 3 points they relaunch themselves and still hope!!
Curiosity: 6 points out of 6 for Sassuolo against Inter this season.
Internazionale lost only 2 matches this season in Serie A, both against Sassuolo!
These six points will probably only make a difference to the history books. However, still amazing that the only two loses of a league champions are to a team that was (will be at this point) relegated.
I had the vague recollection that I had seen something like this happen in the times of Hepta-champion Lyon, and voila:
Relegated Guingamp did the double against OL, and in a heavily contested championship, mind you, unlike with Inter. Still, those were 2 among 7 total defeats.

Yeah, not the only two losses of the league champions, but still incredible. @mspm89, really good memory for remembering that.
Breaking news,
The league match between Atalanta and Fiorentina will be on 2024/06/02 18:00 local time.
As you know, the final round of this season"s Serie A is on 2024/05/26.
They just do not want to delay the Coppa Italia final between Atalanta and Juventus which is on 2024/05/15.
Unbelievable……
Atalanta's run of two matches-one week is so crazy.
Here is the question.
If Atalanta win Europa league and finish 6th in Serie A, will Italy have 6 teams in next season's Champions League?
In this case, whether Atalanta win Coppa Italia or not, the number the Serie A teams playing next season's Europa League should reduce to 1. Am I right?

1) 6 teams in UCL 24-25 if --> Atalanta wins the Europa League and finishes fifth in Serie A or Atalanta win the Europa League and finish from 6th place in Serie A.
2) Serie A gained an additional Champions League place as a result of Italy finishing as one of the two associations with the highest coefficient points in 2023–24. This prize is secondary to the rights of the UCL and UEL title holders. Consequently, in this season this berth could be passed to the sixth-placed team if Atalanta win the 2023–24 UEFA Europa League and finish 5th.
regarding your 2nd question, perhaps the answer is provided by wikipedia (Serie A 23-24): The 2023–24 Coppa Italia winners (Atalanta or Juventus) also qualify for the Europa League league phase. If the Coppa Italia winners finish in the top six, the Europa League spot will be passed to the seventh-placed team, and the Conference League spot will be passed to the eighth-placed team.
Milan beats Cagliari 5-1 and is certain of finishing 2nd, therefore will participate in the next 4-teams ''Supercoppa Italiana''.
While previously: Napoli vs Bologna 0-2 (guests ever closer to reaching a historic goal, namely the UCL).
I am very happy for Bologna, new faces in the CL are always very welcomed in this almost closed circle.
I am also a big Atalanta fan for next 2 weeks, good luck to them in each competition. Finishing such an excellent season with empty hands would be too brutal, so I simply have to root for them.
Meanwhile in the Serie C Play-Off we are down to 13 teams from 28. This morning the draw for the next round was done (first leg on Tuesday, second on Saturday). Yes, teams have only 48 hours to organize the away game
