Losing this game would have been so undeserved, even if a 1-2 would have been enough. They saved their unbeaten streak and it looks much better than qualifying with a defeat.

Leverkusen vs Atalanta :applause:

Roma did their best job, had a great luck, but this Leverkusen was too much.
Roma can regret only because they stopped to play in the 2nd leg of the 1st leg, when they realized that Leverkusen was too much stronger. This was wrong. Never stop playing, you never know, football is unpredictable, everything can happen, like in the first 85' of the 2nd leg.

Yes, Marseille was very bad. This team really need a owner who is ready to spent money to this team. Potential is hughe. Atalanta looked so good today and class difference was quite noticeable.

Does anybody know why that one stand in Bergamo was empty? Also noticed that vs Liverpool

Leverkusen just 4 games from a full season unbeaten. Amazing feature but I would swap they losing their next four games for a historic Dortmund win in the UCL final.
Olympiakos will not have a chance like this one ever. No one will jump competitions again in UEFA.

Hoping for a Dortmund and Leverkusen win in the finals, I have German friends and former prominent Celtic players have history with both teams so I have a wee soft spot for them. Hopefully that's Germany's glory for the year tho and Scotland put them in their place in June 😂 hoping for an Olympiakos win in the conference league cause I don't like the top 5 leagues winning it all

This is what, like the 6th time it's happened in the last 1.5 months?

Don't get me wrong, I like Leverkusen, but this looks almost scripted.

They are restructuring the stadium.
Work in progress, one stand per time: demolition and rebuilding.
They started in 2020. The stand currently empty should be the last one.

I've never known Germans to be found guilty of fixing games tbh. I know Roma have though so if it is fixed maybe it's karma

I find it weird that the EL final is the first one played, instead of the ECL one. It would make more sense, since the CL final (the most prestigious one) is always the last.

We seem to be all living in Leverkusen's storybook World.

If they avoid defeat in their next game, they'll be 50 games undefeated! :o

Not possible to script this, or at least to realize it on the pitch. This time it wasn't surprising. Leverkusen was pushing hard after the 0-2, it was only a matter of time. Own goals look always strange, but okay. They somehow forced it with their pressure in that period. The 2-2 was likely after Roma had to risk everything. I knew it's either 1-3 and extra time or 2-2, but the second option was more likely: Leverkusen with space = undefendable.

@matt yeah I already disliked it when Eintracht was in the final.
