Jokes about Scots are very popular in Hungary, about their perceived stinginess (spread by the English). For example: how the Scot fattens a pig? He beats him till swollen. Also jokes about the Jews, cops, gypsies etc...Meister Ether wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 18:19Belarussians maybe don't joke at all. Great relief for all Germans!
Italians seem to be the most self-ironic people in Europe.
People from BiH have their stanging in the other former-yugoslavian countries.
Almost the same with the Sweds and the rest of Scandinavia.
Non-neighbouring favorites:
What do Hungarians think about Scottish people?
Why are Germans espacially good for joking in Bosnia-Herzegovina?

Fair point subway
@ EarlofBug: there are also some jokes about the Jews in France but this is often the Jewish community itself that provides these jokes (there are a couple of famous movies about this)
Furthermore I want to add that if there are plenty of jokes about the Belgians in France, in all pools the Belgians appear to be our most appreciated neighbours. So no offense really.

It's wrong toward others as well, but especially towards people that doesn't have a country, like the Jews used to be before 1948, and the gypsies.subway14 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 10:56but about others it's ok tho?EarlofBug wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 00:49That doesn't sound very nice.bugylibicska wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 18:51

You can't compare Belgians (I'm not even sure that they consider themselves as a 'people') with Jews. Belgians are made up of Flemish and Walloon people mostly, as well as German-speaking minorities. You can compare them to Israelies, who are made of Jewish people, Arabs and others.
so you wanna say no joke should be ever made about anybody thenEarlofBug wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 20:19It's wrong toward others as well, but especially towards people that doesn't have a country, like the Jews used to be before 1948, and the gypsies.
