RIP.

£1m in 1979! Stick 2 0s on that for the average fee fro a player of his calibre now!
Those were the times my friend. When Forest won the championship he was the only won bought by Clough to strengthen their squad for their PL campaign and they won it, and then the CL.
They won Div 2 then Div 1?
Bingo! And the CL, called the European Cup those times :exclamation: And the next season their did the double!

That's not my fault. If you don't know history how can you judge today's impostors?

Not saying it is. I also realised my hilarious mistake in writing a p instead of a b. :) I'm not even that now!

Graeme Souness scoring a great goal in Italian Cup Final after some fantastic work by Vialli and Francis. Both creators are dead now... RIP

Sir Bobby Charlton (86) passed away today. A real legend for his club (over 600 apps for Man. Utd) and his country (106 caps). RIP.

Zagallo's passing means there are no longer any members of the 1958 winning side still with us.

And within just a few days, Franz Beckenbauer, another of the three who ever achieved this, also died. Didier Deschamps hopefully feels well...

Gigi Riva won the Scudetto with Cagliari in 1970, their only title. He was starring for Italy alongside the great Rivera and Mazzola in the 1970 WC, They beat West Germany 4:3 after extra time - arguably the best game ever played - in the semis, but lost to Brazil in the final. RIP.
