Bastia reached the last 3 in the Intertoto Cup not the UEFA Cup final. Quite a difference.

You`re right, I didn`t remember that. Though, it happened almost 40 years ago and the question was about the last 5 years or so.

40years...oh my God.....LOL....well concerning the last 5 years, it's presently Lille who is in some bad shapes, having lost again at home this weekend. But i think they will maintain...

in Albania 7 of 10 teams have a UEFA ranking so it's quite likely that one of them will be relegated (as 2 of the teams with no ranking are quite far from the relegation zone)

Nacional are relegated in Portugal! Nobody could have seen this at the beginning of the season, but they were truly awful.

Yes, their whol season was a shocker. It was clear for some time that they will be relegated.

BTW, I see Shakhter Karagandy is in relegation battle - another club on Hajduk Split's curse list. So many of their opponents got relegated or even got extinct. There are Karagandy and Dnipro (likely to be second-division teams next season) they faced in 2014/15, season before there were Dila Gori (relegation battle) and Turnovo (already relegated), season before that Skonto Riga (lost licence for first-division football), in 2010/11 they played Unirea (extinct) and AEK Athens (they were part of 3rd division between then and now) and so on. They even touched Primera teams - Mallorca and Deportivo were relegated few seasons after they played Hajduk.

and even Rapid is not saved yet after a horrible season. They won vs. Wolfsberg 4:0 yesterday but still they are the worst team in spring and just 6 points ahead of Ried.
Cupfinal in Austria: Salzburg - Rapid

This topic must resurrect after Schalke '04 was relegated today and still are listed on the club ranking.

Are there other teams this year in trouble?
PAOK is not a club. PAOK is a cultural phenomenon.

Didn't know about this thread. This season, German Bundesliga is the place to look for:

1. FC Köln (2017-18) most endangerd, Hetha BSC and FSV Mainz 05 (2016-17) vulnerable plus TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (2017-19, this season) not totally safe yet.

Mainz doing pretty well recently, unbeaten for 5 competitive matches. They were the last club to gain their first point after 7 matches (coinstantly by drawing Schalke at home) and were in relegation zone most time untill new coach Bo Svenson's seeds began to flourish rather quickly. I think, they will be safe rather sooner than later.

Hertha are currently quarantined until end of April and thus have a very busy and most importantly crucial May ahead of them plus players and staff members had Covid symptoms, first goalie Rune Jarstein was in hospital for a short time.
Matches in May: Traveling to Mainz and Schalke (postponements) as well as hosting Arminia Bielefeld and 1. FC Köln, all except Schalke still in the battle. Hosting SC Freiburg (pp) inbetween and visiting TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on the last matchday, Saturday 22nd.
Hertha's quarantine really puts some extra tense into the final phase of relegation battle.

Köln even got relegated that season but imidiately returned as 2. Bundesliga champions. Despite their really unexpected home win against Leipzig, they are currently most likely to follow Schalke: equal on points but -11 GD with Hertha (16, who will have three games in hand after next weekend), 2+ pionts behind Mainz (15, Hetha match in hand) and 4 behind Bielefeld (14) and 4+ Werder Bremen (13). Werder and Mainz face each other tomorrow at Weserstadion. Regarding current shapes, Mainz are favorites.

Hoffenheim - after some good results in EC in recent years can still be dragged down without collecting points soon, despite many competitors still having to face each other.
After hosting BMG next, trips to Freiburg and Bielefeld and visits from Schalke and Hertha will follow.

Except for Hoffenheim, "Top to Bottom" does not really fit because all others are no EC regulars. Schalke only used to some time ago - their recent participations were more lucky than expected.

In Netherlands Willem II is in relegation danger. They are currently 15th with 22 points, but they are only 1 point ahead of 17th place. Willem II played in the EL this season.

In Bulgaria Slavia (Sofia) will most likely play in the last 4 relegation group in the 2nd phase of the league, where 1 team will be directly relegated and two will play off against teams 2 and 3 from the second league.
