Germany had to press a bit more after the equilizer before the end of the regular time. In the ET they just ran out of power. English ladies looked physically stronger.
A nice match, quite different from the men's game but equally entertaining.

So Beth Mead will be topscorer, due to more assists.
Could get player of the tournament as well, but many in play. Walsh maybe also after that assist in the final, where Mead was more quiet.

Oberdorf, young player of the tournament, while Mead gets player of the tournament

Trends can last so much. My guess is english ladies doing what the guys couldn't.
Frauen Germany has played 9 EURO finals -> 8 wins.
Frauen England has played 3 EURO finals -> 1 win. England win something relevant in football again since 1966.

In national team football, in club football they have won a lot.

If this is something relevant, then England can enjoy this title for another few decades. Until there is a home tournament again. :D

Congrats to England, a little lucky today but a great tournament overall and very deserved winner! Though Germany would have been also a deserved winner, clearly the two best teams of the tournament.

UEFA and CONMEBOL can make the women version of Finalissima, if they want to further promote women's football.

Now England has both its trophies in men and women's football at tournaments they hosted (World Cup in men and Euro in women).

Well contested final and off course a great result for my country, and a brilliant tournament overall, breaking attendance records by a long way.

Very good for the sport overall, not just for England.

I think its not needed. While in mens football UEFA and CONMEBOL are clearly the 2 best confederations in womens football the level of CONMEBOL apart from Brazil is poor. In reality it will not be South America against Europe it will always be Brazil against Europe
