Brann and Viking will play again against unmotivated teams while Tromso will play Valerenga away. The home team will be desperate to win (or draw, depending on other results) in order to avoid relegation. Tough game, Tromso must win, a helping hand from Rosenborg against Viking would be great, but i'm not counting on it.
Looks like the 4 top teams could all end up taking more than 60 points. They all deserve a European competition. The cup final will decide if the 4th place is good enough. If Tromsø ends up in 4th we will have to hope our rivals Bodø/Glimt takes the double.

Don´t expect much help from Rosenborg. They just want this season gone and forgotten. But Strømsgodset could be a tough game for Brann away. Brann favorites, but Strømsgodset has played well lately.

Vålerenga-Tromsø might be a thriller. Both teams with a lot to play for. Vålerenga will not like facing Tromsø in such a match. Tromsø are able to control matches and play a patient game. It could easily frustrate Vålerenga who are desperate at this stage. But if this game opens up, it could get crazy.

Eliteserien - Round 29
Aalesund - Viking 0-4
0-1 Djibril Diop 1'
0-2 Samuel Adegbenro 10'
0-3 Sander Svendsen 55'
0-4 Zlatko Tripic 87'

Brann - Bodø/Glimt 4-2
1-0 Bård Finne 6'
2-0 Bård Finne 27'
3-0 Niklas Castro 40'
4-0 Niklas Castro 46'
4-1 Tobias Gulliksen 52'
4-2 Oscar Kapskarmo 81'

HamKam - Vålerenga 0-2
0-1 Andrej Ilic 80'
0-2 Daniel Håkans 90+3'

Lillestrøm - Odd 4-4
0-1 Filip Jørgensen 1'
0-2 Filip Jørgensen 24'
1-2 Gjermund Åsen 30'
1-3 Mikael Ingebrigtsen 40'
2-3 Thomas Lehne Olsen 73'
3-3 Ruben Gabrielsen 76'
3-4 Mikael Ingebrigtsen 81'
4-4 Thomas Lehne Olsen (Pen) 90+11'

Rosenborg - Strømsgodset 1-3
0-1 Marcus Mehnert 22'
1-1 Jayden Nelson 27'
1-2 Gustav Valsvik 34'
1-3 Logi Tomasson 90+3'

I just want this season to end. And it looks like the players feel the same. Except the penalty, the only shot on goal was a poor shot from 30 meters.
Rosenborgs non penalty xG in this match was 0,23... We're running around like headless chickens in our defensive play. Strømsgodset got to 23 shots in this match. 9 of them on goal.
It's the first time since 1983 that Rosenborg ends up on the lower half of the table. And it will be the worst season since the relegation in 1977.
Two Rosenborg legends said their goodbye to Lerkendal in this match. 36 yo midfielder Per Ciljan Skjelbred won't get his contract renewed. While veteran goalkeeper André Hansen leaves the club after 9 seasons. And joins Odd next season.
Personally I feel that Skjelbred should have gotten another year or two. He still shows that he has a lot to offer when he's been injury free for longer periods. While it's probably about time to say goodbye to Hansen. He has been on a decline for the last four seasons. After he pretty much secured both the league and cup title, as well as a EL group stage for the club back in 2018. Being named the Eliteserien player of the year that season.
Not just because he's been in decline. But 20 year old Sander Tangvik also looks like a proper goalkeeper talent. And to be honest, in Hansen's absence the last two months. Tangvik has proven that he's ready for the task. Many will claim that his performances have been better than those of Hansen this season.

Sarpsborg 08 - Molde 1-3
0-1 Mathias Løvik 1'
0-2 Kristoffer Haugen 43'
0-3 Niklas Ødegård 49'
1-3 Niklas Sandberg 89'

Stabæk - Sandefjord 2-1
1-0 Mushaga Bakenga 7'
1-1 Alexander Ruud Tveter (Pen) 62'
Missed penalty, Kevin Kabran (Stabæk) 90+6'
2-1 Kevin Kabran 90+6'

Tromsø - Haugesund 2-1
1-0 Christophe Psyché 34'
2-0 Niklas Vesterlund 51'
2-1 Sory Diarra 73'

Table after Round 29
Image

Round 30
Sunday 3 December
17:00 Bodø/Glimt - Sarpsborg 08
17:00 Haugesund - Stabæk
17:00 Molde - HamKam
17:00 Odd - Aalesund
17:00 Sandefjord - Lillestrøm
17:00 Strømsgodset - Brann
17:00 Viking - Rosenborg
17:00 Vålerenga - Tromsø

The Vålerenga - Tromsø and Haugesund - Stabæk matches will get the most focus of course. Where both teams have something to play for. If Vålerenga or Sandefjord wins, Haugesund and Stabæk can't play for a draw. But should Lillestrøm and Tromsø go up to a two goal lead early on. I'm pretty sure both Haugesund and Stabæk will be more focused on getting a draw, than to go for a win.
Brann have pretty much secured a top 3 spot due to goal difference vs Viking. But would like to end the season at 2nd place as that means ELq1 should Bodø/Glimt win the Cup final against Molde.
Viking who people thought could take the title two months ago, needs help to get a top 3 spot. Preferably from Vålerenga. As catching up with 6 goals to Brann probably is to much to ask for.
It's tempting to make a prediction that both the top 4 and the bottom 5 ends as they are. But then again, I'd be very surprised if that ends up being the case.

OBOS-ligaen relegation Playoffs
Lyn - Hødd 3-0
That's a great result for Lyn obviously. They have a leg and a half in the OBOS-ligaen. Especially considering Hødd is a lowscoring team. Only 29 goals through the season.

The return leg is played on Saturday. If Lyn gets promoted. It will be their first return to OBOS-ligaen since they went bankrupt in 2010.

OBOS-ligaen promotion Playoffs
Kristiansund - Bryne 1-1 (aet), 4-2 on penalties

Quite entertaining match despite only ending 1-1. Kristiansund goalkeeper Sean McDermott who's been injured most of this season, was subbed on ahead of the penalties. And he became the match winner saving two penalties.

Kongsvinger - Kristiansund is scheduled to Sunday at 14:00. However, southern Norway has been, and will be hit by Siberian winds the next week. And it's expected to be down to -16 degrees on Sunday. With felt temperatures down to -20 degrees. While there are no official rules to when to cancel matches due to cold. This has raised the question whether it's healthy to play football in such cold temperatures. Strømsgodset - Brann, Vålerenga - Tromsø and Sandefjord - Lillestrøm is also expected to have cold temperatures. With -13 in Oslo, -16 in Drammen and -7 in Sandefjord. I remember the Europa League match between Rosenborg and Bayer Leverkusen in 2010 was at risk of being cancelled due to the cold. Back then UEFA had -15 degrees as their limit. Because it's the last round. I have some doubts that matches will be cancelled or postponed. But if one get even lower temperatures than it's expected in Kongsvinger and Drammen. Then I don't see how they can force thing's through. And since it's the last round. With matches having to be played at the same time. I won't rule out that the last round might be postponed. But then again, the Cup final is scheduled for next weekend. And the playoffs between the winner of Kongsvinger - Kristiansund and the 14th placed Eliteserien team is also left to be played.

Consecutive promotions for the club from Oslo west. One kind of want a big club like Vålerenga to stay in Eliteserien. But right now, I'm kind of excited by the idea of getting the Oslo derby in OBOS-ligaen next season. I at least hope Lyn manages to avoid relegation from OBOS-ligaen again. But can stabilize there and build themselves up for a future promotion to Eliteserien again.

Nice to see Lyn getting back to their old prowess. It has been 13 years since they had to start all over from scratch at the bottom tier of the Norwegian football pyramid. It is a club with a lot of history. It is also a club that has developed a lot of excellent players. Former Chelsea player John Obi Mikel is maybe the most famous of them. Manchester Citys Oscar Bobb started of as a wonderkid at Lyn.

I hope Tromsø can send down Vålerenga to te OBOS-lia tomorrow. Then we'll have a proper Oslo-derby in 2024.

All teams are safe from direct relegation with a win. Could be really interesting to watch te 3 matches at the same time.
After 35 mins it is still 0-0 in all 3 games

Half time update:

The important matches:

Haugesund-Stabæk 0-0 - both teams need a win to be safe
Sandefjord-Lillestrøm 1-0 - Very important goal for Sandefjord just before the break. Away fans won´t mind if this result means Vålerenga goes down.
Strømsgodset-Brann 1-0 - This is good news for Tromsø who will eye hopes of snatching 2nd place with a win.
Viking-Rosenborg 0-1 - More good news for Tromsø. But everything can still turn around.
Vålerenga-Tromsø 0-0 - A lot of nerves in ice cold conditions in Oslo. Both teams need a win. If the stalemate doesn´t change, both teams might go all out gong-ho attack in the end.

A lot of nerves in the 2nd half.

Trouble for Stabaek as Vålerenga scores.
Vålerenga need one more though to overtake Haugesund

Vålerenga takes the lead. They have been close a few times in the 2nd half and Tromsø hasn´t been playing well. Tromsø coach makes immediate offensive substitutions.
