Russia - 1.70 , Poland - 2.15
Scotland - 1.75 , Ukraine - 2.10
Wales - 2.00 , Austria - 1.80
Sweden - 1.55 , Czechia - 2.45
Italy - 1.10 , North Macedonia - 7.00
Portugal - 1.22 , Turkey - 4.25

Except for the ties with 2 big boys involved, all others look more or less balanced. Something what I like.
I'm really surprised Austria are favoured to win in Wales. I don't get that at all, other unseeds look much more likely for an away win.
Yeah good value in betting on Wales and Poland, absurd odds.

I found these odds on the site of the biggest Polish bookmaker. They were made shortly after the draw and most likely will change, more or less, soon. At least that is what usually happen.

Both Mancini and Ronaldo promised qualification. Now what? :applause:
An irony of a biblical proportion :grin1: , but wasn't it Fernando Santos with the bold statement?

Anyway if you want to be positive, it is likely that one of them will be correct :D

(Portugal-Turkey) host (Italy-Ukraine)
(Sweden-N.Macedonia) host (Russia-Poland)

Not very far

I've heard Mancini and then read Ronaldo. :rollfloor: Good point! Like the woman in the States who predicted everybody a son. If a daughter, then money back. :rollfloor: She became rich.

It was Santos. Managers talking like they'll just run through all of them home or away. That it's just not possible to fail.

I am of course rooting for Italy.

The 1st path is the weakest one, the strongest team, Ukraine, has 2 away matches.

Very interesting 2nd path, anyone but Russia please. Preferably Poland.
1st and 2nd paths for me are more or less equal but agree with the last sentence, anyone but Russia. Awful team representing awful murderous regime. Dream of a Leva hat-trick in Moscow :grin1:

This was far closer than it had any right to be. You almost got the order of the seeds perfectly (5/6), and got three correct pairings. :o

Their qualifying campaign was basically four wins against Faroe Islands and Moldova and they got thrashed 5-2 in Israel. I think they’re better than their qualifying form suggests and we’re not massively odds on to win or anything, but wouldn’t have them as favourites when we’ve lost two competitive home games in 8 years.

If Poland can get through Russia I hope they get the Czech Republic at home. Not that the Czechs are easy, but Poland has a horrible record v Sweden.

Loving that one of Portugal or Italy won't qualify.

"The 36-year-old Ronaldo and his Portugal side are in this position after a shock home loss to Serbia in the final group-stage match. That result allowed Serbia to overtake them for first place, leaving them in second place and relegating them to the playoff. That's after Ronaldo had essentially guaranteed prior to the match that Portugal would make the 2022 FIFA World Cup."

I was talking about Santos after the match about the playoff. I wonder what Ronaldo said before Serbia. It's never a good idea to look past your opposition. It's even worse to let them see you doing it.

I'm really puzzled by Austria. Sure, it makes sense if they think that Austria's better than Wales. But I thought it must mean they think Wales kinda suck rather than Austria are good. Yet the other two have much worse odds than Wales. Scotland already beat Austria, in Austria, and finished 7pts above Austria.

Well, as I said previously Austria squad is very good, probably they have the best squad among the unseeded. Yes, they had a very bad qualifying campaign may be loss of motivation was an issue as they were guaranteed a play-off spot anyway. But the potential is there. And its normal they would be favs at home against Scotland or Ukraine in the final. I agree though that they can't be favs away in Cardiff. I think you ll see the odds movement on this one
