Switzerland scores
She hits the post but it comes straight back to her feet and slams it in, but it's chopped off and it's still 1-1 because she was offside on the rebound!
I didn't know that rule existed. That it counts as a pass to yourself.

How is that possible? She isn't offside because she is behind the ball! This rare situation has happen before and its goal!
EDIT: since the kicker can't touch twice the ball, the ball must touch another player (GK) before the kicker can kick again. Still no offside, just 2 touches rule.
Wales might have had the reprieve, but the game's now going more like I thought it would with Switzerland having a lot of the ball.
Went to see Australia beat Denmark 3-1. A Danish lead within a minute from a well-timed Holmgaard into the box. However, Australia quickly gained dominance of the game, with a high pressure and some poor Danish passing. In the second half, Australia improved further and scored three times within ten minutes. Denmark started without Pernille Harder, and it was fine enough to get it tested. But it was a bit too much with three central defenders and two out-and-out attackers. This meant it was only really Kühl and Bredgaard centrally, who were comfortable enough on the ball. But Harder didn't manage to improve things after coming on.
Ah, that makes sense. The commentators were putting it the way I wrote. I thought it was weird logic.rpo.castro wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 20:21How is that possible? She isn't offside because she is behind the ball! This rare situation has happen before and its goal!

VAR disallowed penalty for Portugal. Still 1-1
Bachman slams in the top corner from the corner of the six yard box, 2-1 Switzerland. She took her shirt off and got booked.

And VAR has come in, there was an offside in the build! So she's put herself on a yellow in a match that's now likely to go to extra time!
8mins injury...

With both matches going to overtime. Does this mean Ireland qualifies directly if they win in 90 minutes?
Scotland too if not Iceland and Switzerland win the overtime...

Extra time for Wales again.
I'll watch them, Scotland and England now!
