Swedish Football 2022 -
Looks setup for Häcken at this point but with a relatively tough schedule ahead of them (AIK, Malmö, Göteborg the coming 3) they are not yet safe. Hammarby the most probable threat for the title. As for top 3 (European football) a totally wide open race.
Ideal scenario for Sweden: Hacken or Hammarby wins the title, Djurgarden and Malmo in Europe, AIK and Kalmar out of Europe.
Low coefficient club with the Champions safety net, high coefficient clubs in the ECL Qualifiers.

If Häcken were to win the title, do you think they'd be able to keep Jeremejeff? I know he played for Dresden but I can't remember him really standing out so I'm also not sure if this season could also be just a flash in a pan.
IFK Göteborg 2-1 Malmö FF and they are at positions 6-7, far from the top...
AIK vs Häcken and Malmö vs Djurgården in the next days!

He would probably be interested in another excursion... but not 100% sure. He may also be intrigued by the chance of playing European with Häcken.OlliWender wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 19:46If Häcken were to win the title, do you think they'd be able to keep Jeremejeff? Fully aware that it's best for Swedish ranking and coefficient to have Malmö in Europe, but yesterday was a great day! Dear old Blåvitt (blue-white) beating old rivals Malmö on an October pitch
Huge win for BK Häcken (AIK 1-2 Häcken) and big party in Göteborg afterwards!
John Guidetti scored for AIK, he is still 31 years old! He has played for IF Brommapojkarna, Manchester City (loaned to other clubs during all seasons), Burnley, Feyenoord, Stoke City, Celtic, Celta, Alavés, Hannover 96 and since 2022 for AIK.
Hammarby vs Sirius and Kalmar vs Mjällby today; big chance for Hammarby and Kalmar to 'solidify' European qualification!
Also, Malmö vs Djurgården; if Djurgården does not win, things will not look good for them...

Häcken certainly in the driver seat... but with a tough schedule to go. Too early to rule out Hammarby yet, but they are the only one with a realistic chance to take Häcken. My guess now... Häcken 75%, Hammarby 24%, Djurgården/Kalmar 1%.
As for the other European spots... Malmö-Djurgården tonight crucial. Huge risk that both of them end up outside top 3 and will have to win the cup to play in Europe next year.

Helsingborgs IF can at best reach the relegation playoffs.
Once again top teams randomly drop points to midtable teams who aren't fighting for anything - Hammarby and Kalmar this time.
Djurgarden makde an epic comeback in Malmo (2-3 from 2-0 down), climbed into 2nd and probably left Malmo outside the top 4.

Congratulations Hacken, now the title is a formality

Kalmar 1-2 Mjällby the most surprising result for me!
Häcken can seal their first ever championship title against Malmö on Sunday at home!
GIF Sundsvall has been relegated.
Djurgården with a huge win after three consecutive defeats... They play against GIF Sundsvall at home on Monday and should have no problem qualifying for European football.

Hammarby not being able to beat Sirius at home sealed the title for Häcken. Häcken is still in many ways a very small club from Gothenburg having used their earnings from organising Gothia Cup for many years in a very wise way. For those of you who may not know, Gothia Cup is one of Europe's largest youth football cups, played every summer since the 1980's with participations from all over the world.
And Malmö... the demise continues. Given their financial dominance in Swedish football they should win this league easily. Now they look at ending up at 6th place which is nothing but a disaster in their standards.

Easy win for BK Häcken (Häcken 2-1 Malmö) and they are almost certainly champions for the first time in their history! Third consecutive defeat for Malmö FF...
Another defeat for Hammarby (Elfsborg 2-1 Hammarby) and Kalmar will try to take advantage today (away against Sirius).
Helsingborgs IF has been relegated.

Häcken could become champions already tonight if Djurgården fails to win against already relegated Sundsvall at home. Should Djurgården win that (which they probably will), Häcken will have a huge chance of celebrating the title by securing at least one point away vs "big brother" IFK Göteborg next weekend.
In the other end of the table, Degerfors continues to climb and seems to be on safe ground after being way behind early in the season. In fact, counting only the last 10 games they would be fighting for European spots!
