Ex-Liverpool star Sadio Mane shows why he's a class act at Ballon d'Or ceremony

"Why would I want ten Ferraris, 20 diamond watches, or two planes? What will these objects do for me and for the world? I was hungry, and I had to work in the field; I survived hard times, played football barefooted, I did not have an education and many other things, but today with what I earn thanks to football, I can help my people.

"I built schools, a stadium, we provide clothes, shoes, food for people who are in extreme poverty. In addition, I give 70 euros per month to all people in a very poor region of Senegal which contributes to their family economy. I do not need to display luxury cars, luxury homes, trips and even planes. I prefer that my people receive a little of what life has given me"

XG analysis after MD10

XG analysis suggests that teams like Union or Freiburg may just be summer hits whereas usual powerhouses like Bayern of course but also Leipzig or Dortmund are worth better than their current ranking (both are affected by finishing issues)
As far as Union is concerned, it's very rare to see such a difference after 10 games between real ranking and xPts ranking (Union being only 10th!) but their efficiency ratios both in attack and in defence are just outstanding - as if they were scoring every single half a chance they had and not conceding any goal. Will it last? we'll see in the upcoming months.
Another over performing team is Augsburg but here there seems to be a clear Gikiewicz effect.

The Round of 16 teams in DFB-Pokal are known. 11 from Bundesliga and 5 from 2.Bundesliga.
No surprises, all the favorites still there for Sundays's draw. Bayern, Dortmund, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Union, Freiburg still alive in three competitions.

Regarding Köln's match in Moravia resuming on Friday 13:00 CEST, it will be only slightly above the minimum of 48 hours untill their BL match hosting Hoffenheim is set to kick off.
I hope DFL will manage to reschedule that match as well, providing the Köln players a more reasonable ammount of rest - the season is already too packed because of the Dessert Cup. In German football, we (still) don't have a dense schedule like in England in general, so there is enough room for match postponing.

Possible dates for rescheduling:
a) Mon 31th October, just one day
Sinsheim is app. 3 hours from Cologne - quite a far trip for fans between work days, espacially with such short time to adjust plans.
b) Sun 16th January
The week-end before Bundesliga officially ends its winter break
c) 7th-9th February
Mid-weeks during the second week of DFB-Pokal Last 16 as Hoffenheim have their cup match on 1st February and the week before that is already occupied by a regular BL matchday.

Frankfurt, Leverkusen and Köln could be OUT of Europe in GS. The average of BL teems OUT was two, so it's likely one of these will be alive in Spring. Who? Next week we will know.
