Tottenham
Marseille
Eintracht
Sporting

I put OM in the second place because on paper they have a better schedule than Eintracht and Sporting. Hopefully Eintracht will not finish 4th.

Tottenham look very strong this year and I'd expect them to top the group. Then we have the fights for 2nd and 3rd. Sporting got through a tricky group last year and I think they might do it again. Frankfurt and Marseille to fight for 3rd. Tricky one. Europa League champions Frankfurt recently beat Leipzig at home 4-0, while Marseille are doing well under Tudor too.

Prediction
1. Tottenham
2. Sporting
3. Marseille
4. Frankfurt

Sporting is not good this year, and I think you underestimate Eintracht.

Both of them have had very average starts to the season and sit mid table. I don't think Eintracht Frankfurt are a bad team, I just don't think they'll do that well in this group.

Expected win for Tottenham.

Expected wins for Sporting and Tottenham.

Sporting finally won a CL away game in Germany, in attempt #8.

Before they had 1 draw against Bayern, and 6 defeats against Leverkusen x2, Dortmund x2, Bayern and Schalke 04.

Last season they had an awful start, 0 points after 2 rounds, and they still recovered and progressed from their group. Let's see if this season with a good start they progress from their group once again.

To win the group, to qualify:

Tottenham 2.00 1.17
Sporting 2.10 1.17
Frankfurt 9.00 3.60
Marseille 26.00 7.50

Great start for Sporting, miserable one for Marseille. Still lots to play for, Sporting not qualified yet and Marseille are not out of it already, but better start winning.

Sporting 6
Tottenham 3
Frankfurt 3
Marseille 0

Next: Marseille - Sporting, Frankfurt - Tottenham.

Congratulations Sporting! :bouncy:

After a disappointing draw in Germany in round 1, they're back on track with a win against Tottenham.

Frankfurt nearly won in France, but Marseille, despite being in numerical disadvantage after the 68th minute, equalized in the 7th minute of added time and the goalscorer was their goalkeeper Van Neck!!

Congratulations Sporting! :applause:

The win in round 1 against debutant Frankfurt wasn't a surprise, but this time against Tottenham it was a (pleasant) surprise. :D

This match was the perfect example of the power of substitutions versus the stupidity of not using them.

Rúben Amorim made four substitutions:
71': Morita out and Alexandropoulos in
76': Francisco Trincão out and Paulinho in
90'+2: Edwards out and Arthur Gomes in
90'+2: Nuno Santos out and Esgaio in

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte only used one:
72': Son Heung-Min out and Kulusevski in

Paulinho scored the first goal 14 minutes after entering, and Arthur Gomes scored the second goal one minute after entering.

Is any of the subs better than the starters? No
Is any of the subs fresh better than the starters tired after running for over one hour? Yes!

I agree fully with all of the above remarks, but if we look at the timing of the Sporting substitutions two of the four were made when it was already stoppage time so they only had 1 extra compared to Tottenham for the majority of remaining time. So in this particular circumstance it probably wasn't all down to the substitutions but also some other factors. I agree also that Tottenham should have responded with some substitutions of their own, but I would speculate that the 2nd goal at least was probably more down to the match situation of Tottenham pressing hard to get back the one goal difference rather than the particular substitution made although he did actually score of course. The main purpose of the final two substitutions was probably to break up play, still a good idea of course, and it was just an added bonus that one of them scored an extra goal. At that stage Tottenham would have had little choice but to risk more in attack, and in this regard as you say they might have been better advised to make use of their own substitutes.

To win the group, to qualify:

Tottenham 2.00 1.17
Sporting 2.37 1.20
Eintracht Frankfurt 10.00 3.75
Marseille 13.00 5.00

Marseille came back from the dead and live another day. It's a tight group, the next round could be crucial or the high tension remains. The paper form suggests 2 home wins, that would greatly clear the sky.

Sporting 6
Tottenham 4
Frankfurt 4
Marseille 3

Next: Sporting - Marseille, Tottenham - Frankfurt.
