It looks like Lech finally started improving after a terrible period of time with very disappointing results and performances. Perhaphs I should have had more faith in their coach, John van den Brom. Last 5 competitive matches ended with 4 wins and a draw. We will see, I think if this trend continues + key players from defensive line will recover from injuries, I can see Lech with reasonable chances to fight for the 2nd place in this group. Villarreal is out of range for the rest, the key thing for the other three will be to win their home matches and any points stolen from Villarreal will be like a bonus.

It's hard to guess current CB pair in Lech, because there were many, many changes at this position throughout the season. Anyway, I think that Pingot will be fielded only in the last resort. Most probably Milić and Dagerstål will play, since Salamon and Šatka are injured.

Lech starts with Villarreal away and not even a single point is expected there. To maximize their chances in the group, they have to be in top shape in matchdays 2-5, especially 2 and 3, when they play at home vs Austria and Hapoel. I can understand predictions setting Lech at the last place, but hopefully it will be better than last time (4th place and just 3 points in 2020).

Villarreal is the biggest favorite to win the ECL, it is simply a class above all. In this group, there could be an interesting fight for second place. A small advantage for the Israelis, but Austria and Lech also have their chances. :applause:

Expected win for Villarreal.

Lech scored 3 goals from only 3 shots on goal... Villarreal's goalkeeper Jorgensen will probably not be getting more opportunities like this.

Hapoel Beer-Sheva's goalkeeper Glazer was the opposite of Villarreal's Jorgensen. He had six shots on goal and saved them all.

Austria Wien's goalkeeper Frucht had nothing to do, no shots on goal from Hapoel Beer-Sheva. :upset:

Ha, you don't just get to update your predictions after every matchday when the results show your initial prediction could be incorrect.

Because it's like predicting team A is going to be beat team B 3-0 and then when team B is winning 1-0 in the 85th minute, saying, I now think team B is going to win 1-0. It's kind of, you know, cheating, a bit like fans who support one team and then decide to change teams and support a better team when their team doesn't do so well.

Actually not. Unfortunately, the metaphor you gave doesn't quite fit the situation.

Let me clear things up anyway.
My updates are not much different from Bugylibicska's post about revised odds as we had them before md1. But i really appreciate his posts since there comes something new to read on the forum and they are useful because with the revised odds he sends, I learn the current view of the betting sites on the teams.

We're talking football on this forum, and my prediction comments on group threads are not something to be taken seriously. I'll do another similar update after matchday 4 (probably with some words like i did for EL groups). For this reason, if you do not want to see them, I recommend that you block/ignore the user(me).

That's a bit over dramatic isn't it? I was just saying it's pointless making predictions if you keep changing them later. You're not a betting company, who changes the odds throughout the season based on team performances.
