With new system starting from 2024, there is no difference between 11th and 12th place, so it won't change anything if Turkey finish above us.

I think all the ties are very close - bar Lazio - Cluj - and hard to predict the outcome. I'm surprised a bit that Dnipro are favourites, hope they're right.

does the points count to teamranking, countryranking ?

Because other teams dont play.
Points in the 1/16 finals (in February) only count for country ranking. Teams in EL can win 1 point for the club ranking by qualifying for the 1/8 finals.
This can be good for Belgium

If , big IF, Gent and Anderlecht qualify with together 2 victory and 1 draw. That is 5 points. Then Belgium go tot 11.6 poins.
Their odds are in favor !!!

And Brugge and Sint-Gilles also in running.
But probably those 2 clubs gain zero points normally.
With a good draw in conference league, the next round.
5 teams out of 8 are possible.
These clubs are good, but not a Lazio, West Ham, Villareal, Nice.

Istanbul Basaksehir ** Tur 25.000 .
AZ Alkmaar ** Ned 28.500 .
Djurgårdens IF ** Swe 4.575 .
Sivasspor &4 Tur 6.500 .
Slovan Bratislava &3 Svk 13.000 .

Let's be honest, with a lot of lucky draws you can get very far in this tournament.
Without playing a top team.

Can't complain about Lech's draw. They avoided all the teams I hoped they would, as well as Trabzonspor, who I didn't mention but also would have been difficult. Bodo are a good team too, but within Lech's range. Difficult to say what is going to happen yet as it's 3 months away. There could be comings and goings at both clubs.

Sivasspor are almost a free ticket for last 8.

I just hope that they play against Basaksehir (or Trabzonspor - if they make it) so that free ticket don't go to waste for Turkey.

For R16, clubs from the same association can not be drawn against each other.

Too bad.
They did more than expected, so it's okay if they lose now.

At last: UEFA decided that there will be VAR from this stage! A little hooray.
PAOK is not a club. PAOK is a cultural phenomenon.

Best luck to Trabzonspor vs Basel. Football can provide small enjoyment in tragic moments.

Yes, I second to that. Too bad the match is in the same time slot with Barca - MU. I'll watch Ludogorets - Anderlecht later.

Qarabag - Gent: Gent have been awful in Europe, despite being still in this competition. I'd say Qarabag, but it should be close.

Braga - Fiorentina: the 3rd from Portugal should be stronger than the 14th of Serie A. Let's see.

Trabzonspor - Basel: Basel have been awful this season, the turks should be extra-motivated.

Lazio - CFR Cluj: Lazio are in a bad shape right now. Out of Coppa Italia, look not strong enough for a CL place. Will they take seriously this competition? An elimination against Cluj wouldn't shock me, because the romanians are a very defensive team, sometimes abkle to deliver unexpected results against stronger opponents.

Bodo/Glimt - Lech: i'm not aware of changes that Bodo/Glimt did in winter, so i can't judge them. Lech have the advantage of home second game and a few official games played in the league.

Sheriff - Partizan: what happened to Partizan? They just lost a random league game 0-4 at home :dontknow:

Aek Larnaca - Dnipro-1: a clash between two teams at the top of the respective national leagues. Will the cypriots win again like in August?

Ludogorets - Anderlecht: the ECL is the only thing that went right for Anderlecht in this season. Will they advance again?

Sheriff - Partizan to be played behind closed doors. Moldovan government has shut its airspace claiming an attempted coup.
