UEFA U21 Slovakia 2025
Looks like City's domination of youth football in England is being reflected in the U21 team. Will it continue into the senior team?
A surprise, Germany were held at home to a 0-0 by Kosovo. If Serbia weren't already out of it, they are now, they drew 1-1 with Luxembourg.
Ukraine beat Morocco U23 1-0.
It certainly shows how football has changed since I started watching it. I remember it being a big deal in 1989 when City had 4 players in the u-21 lineup, and all were important first teamers. Now it is less newsworthy, and of the six, two have been sold already and three others are out on loan. Most u-21s never get a senior cap of course. The keepers and defenders being the hardest to project accurately.

England's opponents have already played. No surprise Ukraine winning 0-3 in Azerbaijan. Good on Northern Ireland taking a 1-2 win in Serbia!
No upsets really elsewhere except Austria getting a 2-2 at home vs Cyprus.

For all England's goals, Luxembourg have hit the wood twice now.
7-0 FT. Something to cheer me up if the senior side can't turn their game around.
