Olympiakos doing great in a Youth League, who'd have thought?
Should they have used more players from this team in the senior competitions?

For 2024-25 there will be changes in format. In champions path all champions will be able to qualify, instead of current top 32 leagues, and if the champion is qualified through champions league path, the spot is given to runner-up.
Does anyone knows if runner-up is also qualified through champions league, the vacancy will be for the 3rd placed team, or the first team not qualified through champions league, or the league will lose its spot?

No. If both domestic youth champions and runners-up qualify for UCL path, the spot for that association in the domestic champions path will be vacated.rpo.castro wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 18:04 For 2024-25 there will be changes in format. Semi-final result
Olympiacos 0-0 (3-1 pen) Nantes
Olympiacos 0-0 (3-1 pen) Nantes
Olympiacos takes a 3rd scalp in penalties after the ones of Inter and Lens and reaches the final in an insane season for the U19 team!
Insane season in general! Youth League finalist, Conference League semifinalist and still in the league title race and all of that despite the several managerial changes and looking 4th best at most in the domestic competition.
They could very well end up empty-handed though.
Semi-final result
Porto 2-2 (3-4 pen) AC Milan

Last year Wouter Goes of AZ Alkmaar did exactly the same after a senior tie against Anderlecht (also won on spot-kicks), helping the Dutch club win both their Geneva semi-final against Sporting CP on penalties and then the decider with Hajduk Split three days later.
