Ye he took a bad touch and Maeda was through one on one and he pulled him down

Cheers. The victory is yours, 2-1 FT.

Let's see how things go. Rangers have done better against the rest of the league, but 2 wins over them keeps the advantage with Celtic. Celtic will feel the impact of the Asian Cup, but Rangers still have to juggle Europe while Celtic don't, and also have to fit in those 2 games in hand.

The January window will be huge, Celtic have over £70mil in the bank so if they don't spend it and Rangers win the league the fans will go nuts.

They've been going on about that money all season on the Celtic forum. I think they should spend. The league is too close, and the Asian Cup could swing it. Spend some of that money to make sure you get the CL money.

We need a ST a LB and GK as a minimum. I feel if we had spent a bit more on proper quality we might have done better in the CL. A win is worth millions so if you get it right you can recoup the transfer fee of a player or 2 in one win

Huge boost for Celtic that Japan didn't call up Kyogo.

Maedas call up might be offset by Abada being fit again

I wonder if Rangers will still sign Shankland as suggested as they just signed Silva on loan from Wolves.
They don't have an option to buy as Wolves just want him getting game time, not to sell. So they'll end up back where they are now for the start of next season. If they're interested in Shankland, do they still go for him, or risk waiting till next season?
The biggest problem is Hearts will want a decent fee and rumours are Rangers don't have a lot of cash either
Sima has suffered a long term injury with Senegal so there'll be a new urgency for Rangers now...

Following two wins, for the first time in a long time Celtic and Rangers have played the same number of games. Celtic 2pts in front, but will play their home game against Ross County now.

Looking at the fixtures, it will be the same fixture on the 14th of February when Rangers will play their game in hand.

A surprise, managerless Aberdeen draw 1-1 with Celtic. But they'll be boosted by Japan's elimination today. Let's see if Rangers can beat Livingston at home today...

Was a 3-0 win. They'll have a chance of going top if they win the game in hand now as their GD is now only 2 inferior, though they'd need a 3 goal win as Celtic have still scored 7 more.

A massive signing for Aberdeen, hopefully they have a big upturn in results now.

Will the Challenge Cup have it's first non-Scottish winner? TNS vs Airdrieonians in the final.

A couple of rounds of the Scottish Cup have gone by, and the quarter final draw is done:

Morton (2) vs Hearts
Celtic vs Livingston
Aberdeen vs Kilmarnock
Hibernian vs Rangers

Morton disposed of Motherwell 2-1 in the previous round to stop a SPL clean sweep.
