German Football 2023-24
Much pressure off the Sunday clash between Dortmund and Leverkusen.
With Bundesliga practically assured 5th CL place, both Leipzig and Dortmund will go.

Huge win from Frankfurt against Augsburg that keep them in the favorable position to end 6th in Bundesliga. This season this can be relevant for the unlikely case of Dortmund winning the UCL and being 5th in Bundesliga, then, the 6th team of Bundesliga will play the league phase of UCL as well. Better if this team is named Frankfurt rather than Augsburg.
It's not confirmed by any reliable source that 6th of Bundesliga will enter UCL in that case. But it is not confirmed that it won't happen either.ultra2013 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 22:33 Huge win from Frankfurt against Augsburg that keep them in the favorable position to end 6th in Bundesliga. Important win, especially when we look at the opponents Eintracht have to play: next Bayern away, then Leverkusen! Then Gladbach away, okay. But then Leipzig on MD34. I didn't realize it when I said that they are more or less safe for the EL spot. If Freiburg beat Mainz the 6th place is in danger, if they lose it looks decent.ultra2013 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 22:33 Huge win from Frankfurt against Augsburg that keep them in the favorable position to end 6th in Bundesliga. Kane scored a direct free kick and got an assist in a 1-5 win at Union Berlin.
Seems I was wrong.TommyChat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 23:11It's not confirmed by any reliable source that 6th of Bundesliga will enter UCL in that case. If this was a TV show you'd be calling bullshit on all the late saves of the invincible season. It's incredible.
Leverkusen's plot armor surpasses even the one of Liverpool from a few years ago
Just 8 more games to go for an unbeaten season in all competitions.

Bundesliga, final MD: Frankfurt vs Leipzig. Frankfurt might prefer to LOSE the game, improving their chances for CL football next season.

It was kind of Bayern to save the 1-5 win for Union Berlin instead of doing it to Arsenal.
Leverkusen 2-2 Stuttgart. After being 0-2 behind, of course Leverkusen have scored the equalizer in the 6th minute of injury time.
Leipzig 4-1 Dortmund. Resulting in Leipzig now being 5 points ahead with 3 games left. So Dortmund will likely not make the top 4.

90+7: Leverkusen avoiding the first defeat of the season (again), crazy!
Good that they didn't lose, so the "we are untouchable" self-confidence is still there when they travel to Rome.

These scenarios become seriously unreal. 1, 2 times OK, now that's how many? The 10th time this season?BurningStorm wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 20:32 90+7: Leverkusen avoiding the first defeat of the season (again), crazy!

I feel there was handball before the equalizer but they just let it slide to not ruin the record
