These four are all important matches for the European spots race. Napoli - Atalanta already started, 0-0 after 10 minutes.

...and so it is also the race for positions 7th to 11th!

Serie A

Genoa - Frosinone : 1 - 1
A good point for Frosinone.

Torino - Monza : 1 - 0
Torino jumps to the 8th position, overtaking Fiorentina and Lazio, that play later today.

FT - Lazio vs Juventus 1-0 (93' Marusic)

Tudor's debut on the bench for Lazio, while for Juventus only 7 points in the last 9 games.

Serie A

...and Fiorentina - AC Milan : 1 - 2

I watched both the matches on TV.

Lazio - Juventus was a quite boring game to watch, with very few occasions to score, decided by an injury time goal. With this victory Lazio jumps in 7th position in Serie A, overtaking Napoli and Torino, while Juventus is in crisis of results.

Fiorentina - AC Milan was a more exciting match, with several chances to score, and with Leao big protagonist (watch the highlights!).

Waiting for the results of Monday, we have:
Internazionale 76, AC Milan 65, Juventus 59, (virtually in CL, also if Juventus last results are awful)
Bologna 54, AS Roma 51, Atalanta 50, (likely fighting for the last 2 CL spots)
Lazio 46, Napoli 45, Torino 44, Fiorentina 43, Monza 42. (fighting for the remaining European spots)

I also feel Juventus will finish in the top three but - based on your assessment of their performance yesterday and their poor recent form - there are enough games left for the teams below to overtake them.

To qualify for the next Champions League a 5th place in Serie A is enough, and I don't see Juventus finishing 6th. I mean, even if two clubs between Bologna, AS Roma, and Atalanta overtake the bianconeri in the ranking, for the CL spot it is done anyway. That all the three clubs (Bologna, AS Roma, and Atalanta) overtake Juventus is not impossible, but quite far from likely to happen. :smile1:

Yes indeed, unlikely and it almost certainly won’t prevent Juventus from qualifying for next season’s CL.

Another little step for Bologna in its race towards Champions League football. They had no problems against Salernitana, while Roma couldn't win against Lecce (they were a bit lucky not to lose).

Everyone involved in the relegation fight gained one point, except for Empoli that will probably lose tonight against Inter.

Crazy day in Serie B with Parma, Venezia and Cremonese losing at home. Como are now 2nd and in a promotion spot. Catanzaro lost too many points in winter, otherwise they would be an unlikely candidate for a direct promotion spot.

Btw the manager of Como is Fabregas, but he hasn't the licence to lead professional teams right now, so officially there's an unknown Welsh guy in its place, Osian Roberts.
Unknown to many yes, but he has some experience in the Welsh national team (assistant coach) and with Crystal Palace (tecnical director).

Mantova promoted to Serie B! :applause:

Tomorrow could be Juve Stabia's turn if they avoid a loss in the regional derby aganst Benevento (the same Benevento that some of you will remember being in Serie A a few seasons ago).

Matchday 31 not completed (7 matchdays missing):

Inter* (79 pts) is closer and closer to Scudetto

Milan (68) and Juventus (62) should have almost secured their place in CL; Juventus still not convincing, but they defetaed Fiorentina 1-0 at home.

Bologna (58), Roma (55) and Atalanta* (50) still fighting for the remaining 1 or 2 spots in CL; Roma won the derby vs Lazio 1-0; they are going very well after Daniele De Rossi replaced Mou.

Napoli (48), Lazio (46), Torino (44), Fiorentina* (43), Monza (42) fighting for the remaining 0, 1 or 2 spots in EL/ECL;
number of spots depending also on who will win Coppa Italia

* 1 match less; they played only 30 matches
Hope for more partecipants in the next Prediction Game

If Roma wins at Udinese next Sunday then Atalanta would begin their game the following day in sixth position and at -8 points from the likely last CL position.
