The Coupe de France is not the tournament where you expect to see lopsided results even in matchups with several divisions of difference. The only overseas club left was double-digitted by a club with Champions League experience.

If you read Lyonnais' summary, you'll see there were two overseas clubs left. The other one lost 4-0 against Romorantin.

Ligue 1 - MD18

Game of the week

LENS - PARIS SG 0-2
Barcola 30' Mbappé 89'
Red card: Gradit (Lens) 45'

XG: 2.68 - 1.80

A clinical PSG
Lens missed the mark at the start of the match with this missed penalty. Then, the league leader was merciless with a decisive Barcola, scoring then pushing Gradit to make a mistake. Reduced to 10, Lens never gave up but Mbappé closed the debates at the end of the meeting. Paris soars in the ranking.

Ligue 1 - MD19

Game of the week

PARIS SG - BREST 2-2
Asensio 38' Kolo Muani 45'; Camara 55' Pereira Lage 80'
Red card: Barcola (Paris SG) 90+4'

XG: 1.90 - 1.07

PSG neutralized by Brest
Realistic in the first period, PSG, uninspired, fell asleep after the break against an eye-catching Breton team who logically came back on score. Brest consolidates its 3rd place while PSG, although solid leader, has not reassured itself with a view to the Champions League.

Ligue 1 - MD20

Game of the week

BREST - NICE 0-0

XG: 0.88 - 0.67

A shock without a winner
As in the first leg, the two opponents parted in a logical draw without a goal, thanks to two solid defenses. Nice's Guessand and Brest's Satriano and Mounié lacked efficiency in this rhythmic display. Nice remains three points ahead of Brest and Lille, which is coming back.
(lequipe.fr, google translation)

Coach: E.Roy
NICE (3-4-2-1): Bulka - Ndayishimiye, Todibo, Dante - Lotomba (Rosier 64'), Boudaoui, Thuram, Bard (Perraud 80') - Laborde (Cho 64'), Sanson (Louchet 81') - Guessand

Next round of the French Cup:

PSG - Nice
Lyon - Strasburg
Le Puy - Rennes
Monaco * - Valenciennes

This time the cup won't be won by a surprise package like Nantes or Toulouse, but by a team in the first 8-9 places of Ligue 1, unless Lyon/Strasburg win it, though in my mind i still consider Lyon to be quite a big team.

* If they win tonight's game.

As long as PSG is still in the race, they are the huge favourites.
That said if my memories are good they were eliminated by Nice last season (or was it Marseille? I don't remember. For sure they were eliminated by these two but I don't remember the order.

I checked, it was OM in the round of 16. In the following round OM were eliminated by... Annecy.
In the following round Annecy were knocked out by Toulouse.
Toulouse then defeated Nantes in a one-sided final.
