The Kazakh league finished today, and the only issue regarding European qualification which was decided in the last round was whether Astana or Aktobe would finish 2nd. As both teams drew, Astana maintained their 3-point advantage to become runners-up, while Aktobe finished 3rd and will definitely play in the Conference League next season.

The competition that Astana will play in, and the round that Aktobe will enter, will be decided by next week’s cup final, between league champions Ordabasy and Tobol, who finished 8th in the league.

If Ordabasy win the cup, Astana will enter Europa League Q1, Aktobe will enter Conference League Q2, and Kairat, which finished 4th in the league, will enter Conference League Q1.

If Tobol win the cup, Tobol will enter Europa League Q1, Astana will enter Conference League Q2, and Aktobe will enter Conference League Q1.
Tobol beat Ordabasy 1-0 to win the cup, and are the first team to qualify for the expanded 2024/25 Europa League, entering Q1.

The Kazakh domestic season concluded with the following team qualifying for Europe.

Champions League Q1: Ordabasy
Europa League Q1: Tobol
Conference League Q2: Astana
Conference League Q1: Aktobe

My bad! Took this straight from a tweet without actually checking the table myself.
IF Elfsborg are now 10 points ahead of 4th placed Djurgarden who have 3 matches to play, after Djurgarden drew today. So IF Elfsborg have qualified for Europe.
Malmo FF are also qualified for Europe, as they are 11 points ahead of 4th placed Djurgarden who have 3 matches to play.
Hacken have also qualified for Europe, as they are 4 points ahead of 4th placed Djurgarden who have only 1 match to play. Hacken will definitely finish in 3rd place, which means they will enter Conference League Q2, unless they win any of the following trophies next summer:

- If they win the Europa League, they will enter Champions League group stage.

- Or if they win the Europa Conference League, they will enter Europa League group stage.

- Or if they win the Swedish Cup, they will enter Europa League Q1.

Djurgarden will definitely finish in 4th place, which means they will qualify for Europe only if any of the league top three (Elfsborg, Malmo, Hacken) win the cup, where in this case they will enter Conference League Q2, or if they win the cup themselves in which case they will enter Europa League Q1.

The Faroe league concluded today, with three teams in contention before the final round for two Conference League berths through the league. Vikingur and HB won to finish 2nd and 3rd to qualify for Conference League Q1. B36, who lost to drop to 4th, now have to rely on HB winning next week's cup final against B68, which finished 7th in the league, to qualify for the final berth in Conference League Q1. Otherwise, B68 will qualify for Conference League Q1 as the cup winners.
HB beat B68 in the cup final on penalties after a 0-0 draw, which means B36 qualified for Europe as the league 4th place and will enter Conference League Q1.

The four European representatives for Faroe Islands will be:
Champions League Q1: KI
Conference Leageu Q1: HB, Vikingur, B36

Isaac Kiese Thelin is top-scorer of Allsvenskan 2023. He has had a nice career with good European clubs (Bordeaux, Anderlecht, Beveren, Bayer Leverkusen etc). He returned to Sweden in 2022 for Malmö FF. He also has 32 apps for the Swedish national team.

They will enter either Champions League Q1 (if they win the league), or Conference League Q2 or Q1.
Current Latvian league 2nd place Rigas FS will join leaders Riga FC in Europe next season, as they will finish in the top three of the league. They are currently 28 points ahead of 3rd place Liepaja and 4th place Auda, who have 10 and 9 matches to play respectively, and 29 points ahead of 5th place Valmiera, who have 10 matches to play. They cannot be caught by Auda, and since Liepaja and Valmiera have to play each other, they can be caught by only one of these two teams.
Auda and Valmiera have also qualified for Europe, as they are 7 points and 4 points ahead of 5th place Liepaja who only have 1 match to play. Auda and Valmiera will finish either 3rd or 4th, and as the cup was won by Riga FC, who will finish either 1st or 2nd, both teams will enter Conference League Q1.

The league title will be decided next week between Riga FC and Rigas FS, with the league champions qualifying for Champions League Q1 and the league runners-up qualifying for Conference League Q2. Riga FC is currently 1 point above Rigas FS, and since they drew all 4 league meetings this year (they even drew the cup final after 120 minutes which Riga FC won on penalties), should they be tied on points after the last round (if Riga FC lose and Rigas FS win), Rigas FC will be crowned champions on goal difference.

HJK will enter Champions League Q1, while KuPS, who would have been champions if they won by 3 goals or more, finished 2nd and will enter Conference League Q1. Cup winners Ilves, who finished 8th, will enter Conference League Q2.

The last European spot for Finland will be decided by the European play-off, contested by the teams finishing between 3rd and 7th, namely VPS, SJK, Honka, Inter Turku, and Oulu, with the winner entering Conference League Q1. The format of the European play-offs are shown in the graphic below.

VPS beat Honka 2-0 on aggregate over two legs in the European play-off final, and qualified for Conference League Q1.

The four teams which will represent Finland in Europe are:
Champions League Q1: HJK
Conference League Q2: Ilves
Conference League Q1: KuPS, VPS

Bodo/Glimt are the first team from Norway to qualify for Europe next season. They are currently 12 points ahead of 4th place Viking who have 3 matches to play.

They will enter either Champions League Q2 (if they win the league), Europa League Q1 or Conference League Q2.

Of course they can also enter Europa League GS if they win this season's Europa Conference League.

Riga FC did a Dortmund! RFS win the title :applause:
Someone here said Riga FC have a very rich owner for Latvian standards, but they keep shooting themselves in the feet: in 2022 they lost the title to Valmiera, now to RFS.

In Estonia Flora won the title.

Riga FC choked away the title as they could only draw their final match, while RFS won to pip their rivals by 1 point, to win their second league title after 2021, and qualified for Champions League Q1. Riga FC, who could not complete the league and cup double, qualified for Conference League Q2.

The four teams representing Latvia in Europe will be:
Champions League Q1: RFS
Conference League Q2: Riga FC

The Estonian league final round matches are now in the second half, so Flora have not won the title yet, but Levadia are currently losing 0-2 so they should be there soon.

Levadia did come back and score a last minute equalizer to draw 2-2, but it is still not enough even though Flora also only drew 0-0. Flora, with a 2-point lead, successfully defended their league title and became champions for the 15th time, and qualified for Champions League Q1.

But that last minute equalizer by Levadia did have implications in European qualification, as their opponents Paide, who were 3rd before the final round, dropped to 4th place as a result, while Tallinna Kalev won to finish level on points with Paide, but with a better head-to-head record, finished 3rd and qualified for Europe for the first time, and will enter Conference League Q1 together with league runners-up Levadia.

The final Conference League Q1 spot for Estonia will be determined based on the results of the cup, which will finish in 2024. The cup winners will qualify for Conference League Q1, or if any of the league top three (Flora, Levadia, Tallinna Kalev) win the cup, Paide will qualify as the league 4th place (of course they can also qualify by winning the cup themselves).

Way too late, but shout-out to Panevezys and Ariagner Smith, the first Nicaraguan player to win a title in Europe.

Hopefully more to come and in leagues with more exposure (no disrespect; the Lithuanian league's level is probably on par with better leagues from Central America than the Nicaraguan one but, let's face it, Lithuanians' sport is basketball).

Just curious, have any Nicaraguan player played in UEFA club competitions?
