2023/2024 Conference League Group B: Gent - M. Tel Aviv - Zorya Luhansk - Breidablik
Can Zorya threaten Maccabi? They are doing badly in their league but are having good results so far in Europe.

Zorya replaced the head coach, who ruined the start of the season, so there is no need to look at the table, it does not reflect Zorya’s real level at this moment
As for the chances of competing with Maccabi, it’s hard to say, we’ll definitely try

Expected wins for Gent and Zorya Luhansk.
Zorya Luhansk interrupted its winless streak of 3 Conference League matches and is now in the longest undefeated streak in its Conference League history, 3 matches (Bodo/Glimt, Gent and Breidablik).
4 points after round 2 is a much better start than in their previous participation, when they had 0 points after round 2.
The country ranking nerds desperate for Ukraine's decline had a terrible week, first with Shakhtar's win in Belgium and then with Zorya Luhansk's win in Iceland.
Too bad that UEFA Youth League doesn't count for UEFA Country Ranking, otherwise they would have something to celebrate, Rukh Lviv couldn't defeat Sarajevo.
Records and Statistics:
Champions League (all 141 participants - 1992/1993 to 2019/2020)
Europa League (all 215 participants - 2009/2010 to 2019/2020)
UEFA Youth League (all 162 participants - 2013/2014 to 2019/2020)

There's still a bit of time left, but both Maccabi - Zorya ties may be played in third countries due to two wars ongoing at the same time involving UEFA countries.
Would this be a first time that such event happens in UEFA competitions? I would think so, correct me if i'm wrong.

Expected win for Gent.
Maccabi Tel-Aviv vs Zorya Luhansk was postponed to November 25th.
Congratulations Gent!
5-0 against Breidablik was the biggest win in their Conference League history, above 4-0 against Molde in 2022.

Congratulations Gent and Maccabi Tel-Aviv!
They both advanced from this group and now they'll have a direct fight for the first place. Maccabi Tel-Aviv must win to get it, otherwise Gent will keep it.
Zorya Luhansk already secured the third place here, but they must still win their remaining game against Breidablik, otherwise this Conference League participation will be worse than their previous in 2021/2022.

Congratulations Maccabi Tel-Aviv for winning the group!
It's the first time in their history that they reach the last 16 round.
I was right about Zorya Luhansk third and Breidablik last, but wrong about Gent winning the group above Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

Initial prediction
Actual tableGent should have no trouble in getting 1st place. Maccabi Aviv to fight with Zorya for 2nd. I think they'll edge them.
1. Gent
2. Maccabi Tel Aviv
3. Zorya
4. Breidablik
Once again I thought the Belgians would do better than they did, but they managed to qualify so were not a total disappointment. Well done to Maccabi Tel Aviv for winning the group. 3rd and 4th were as I expected1. Maccabi Tel Aviv
2. Gent
3. Zorya
4. Breidablik
