A well worked routine from corner and McGinn found the bottom corner, 2:0 Villa!

Unlucky Lille, not their day, goal canceled, still 2:0.

2-1 FT. A win for Villa, but a tough game in France in prospect on that evidence...

PAOK loses and Kotarski saved a penalty.

But 3 Brugge starters are missing the return leg because of yellows and PAOK is hoping for another home big win.

Lille didn't deserve to lose, but a goal disadvantage is not the end of the world. Martinez the man of the match!

Considering the game I will take the loss with only 1 goal difference.
PAOK did't play well, but I hope they will play much better in Thessaloniki.

Whoever win this tie Aston Villa vs Lille gonna probably lift the trophy also. It was a close game in England.

Yes, these 2 were the top teams, but after seeing Liverpool been massacred at Anfield...I'm stunned.

We played worse in Zagreb.

Tonight poor decision making wasted several promising counter-attacks.

And it looked like the midfielders didn't have any energy left in the tank.
Thankfully they have an entire week to recuperate.

Return leg will be tough, the team needs to give 100% to pass.

Yes, but in football you never know. Atalanta one week ago were completely dominated by Fiorentina in the Italian cup and were lucky to lose only 1-0.
