Transfer Topic
Here be a transfer topic for all the countries under UEFA authority...players coming in and going out of our teams all over Europe; I think it's easier to share opinions and get a better view on them if we can all do it in the same place.

The only big transfers already confirmed are Flamini from Arsenal to AC Milan and Luka Modric from D. Zagreb to Tottenham.
About rumours, in FC Porto it seems everybody will leave:
Bosingwa - a lot of clubs are interested but the most talked are Real Madrid, Manchester Utd. and Bayern (20M€ at least)
Quaresma - Real Madrid (25M€ + Soldado)
Lucho González - Juventus, Barcelona and Atletico de Madrid (25M€ at least)
Lisandro Lopez - Roma and Porstmouth
Paulo Assunção - Roma, Fiorentina and Atletico de Madrid
Bruno Alves - Manchester City or Aston Villa
Tarik Sektioui - Borussia Dortmund
But, of course, Porto won't sell more than 3 of these and some of the possible offers are laughable. Porstmouth, for instance, wants to offer only 16M€ for Lisandro.

Tim Borowski will move from Werder to Bayern (free transfer), this has been settled for quite a while now.
Schlaudraff will move from Bayern to Hannover 96.
Both Dortmund and Schalke announced that they wanted to invest big into new players, rumor has it that Marko Basa from Le Mans has already agreed upon a contract with Dortmund, however the transfer fee is still in negotiation.
Bayerns Ulli Hoeness said that he is is negotiating with several players, among them a big star, though that was a couple of weeks ago and the star was rumored to be Flamini.
Philipp Lahms talk about early contract extention at Bayern was recently aborted, Lahm said that he wants to play abroad rather sooner than later, however Bayern said that they would not let him go before his contract ends in 2009, so it looks like he'll change on a bosman transfer next year.
While there are never-ending rumors about Diego leaving Bremen, it seems unlikely to me since both Diego and Werders officials stated several times that Diego will stay in Bremen for at least another season. Van der Vaart on the other hand is almost sure to move to a bigger club most likely in Spain if he gets an offer, though possibly HSV will veto again if it's a last minute deal like last year with Valencia.
Of the Bundesligas other big stars, Mario Gomez will most likely leave Suttgart for a bigger club, but rather later than sooner, Podolski is not happy with his current role at Bayern, though with Klinsmann as the new coach I doubt he'll leave this summer.

Some rumors in France.
Nasri should leave Marseille as long as a club is able to play the expected 20m transfer fee. Although Lyon would love to attract him (he's very good friend with Benzema), he's likely to play abroad next season.
Gomis, the growing star of st Etienne: apparently a lot of clubs are following him such as Arsenal, Newcastle, Sevilla and Marseille. Not sure that the club will let him go, but in any case it will be expensive (18-20 mios).
Elmander will leave Toulouse. Numerous clubs are said to follow him from Italy (Juventus, Napoli, Roma, Lazio), England (Manchester City, Tottenham), Spain (Valencia) or France (Marseille, Monaco, PSG). Expected transfer fee: 12 mios (estimated amount of his clause).
Briand could leave Rennes if the club doesn't qualify for a European cup. Estimated price minimum 10 mios. Apparently clubs like Portsmouth, Lens, St Etienne or even Juventus follow him.
Lloris from Nice is expected to go to Lyon if Coupet leaves the club at the end of the season. Otherwise, he seems to be very appreciated by the Italian clubs (Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio, Parma) but he could choose some security and stay in France (Rennes are very interested).
Menez will certainly leave Monaco. He's apparently followed by a lot of big clubs such as Inter, Man. United, Liverpool or Tottenham, but there are some rumors of a possible exchange with Wendel and Fernando (from Bordeaux)
Ziani, unsuccesful for his first season in Marseille, seems still able to attract clubs such as Newcastle, Betis, Lens or Bordeaux but he might stay in Marseille if Nasri (his main competitor for a position in the starting XI) leaves the club and if he feels that the clubs counts on him.

The big rumours from today:
Bayern is interested in Gattuso while Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sagnol may leave (the first to Juventus and the second to Juventus or Milan).
And to complete the situation in Portugal:
Porto already confirmed the signing of Rolando (from Belenenses) and is trying to buy Mariano González (who's on loan from Palermo).
Benfica bought Ruben Amorim (from Belenenses) and Jorge Ribeiro (from Boavista).
About players leaving, Middlesbrough seems to be interested in Braga's Linz.
And Carlos Carvalhal (Vit. Setúbal's manager) will manage Asteras Tripolis next season. To the greeks: do portuguese managers have good reputation there? I ask this because I think we have really good managers but only greek teams seem interested in them (excluding teams from Africa or Asia).

According to Kicker informations, Daniel Zaccardo will move from Palermo to Wolfsburg for 7 mio €. While it isn't officially announced yet, Kicker is usually very reliable. I must say I find it notable that an Italian nt player choses to move from a mid table Serie A club to a mid table Bundesliga club... of course Wolfsburg has a lot of cash, but still... I think he is only the 3rd to move from Serie A to the Bundesliga (after Rizzitelli at Bayern in the 90s and Luca Toni).
Steaua Bucuresti is rumored to have signed Bogdan Stancu and Janos Szekely from Unirea Urziceni and Otelul Galati respectively, romanian teams from Liga 1, while deciding to dismiss Habib Habibou and Mendoza(boath on loan to Steaua). The new-comers are very promising, but I think they are wrong letting Mendoza go(they state that all he's good at is taking free and corner kicks-but then one must keep in mind that most of their goals this season came from such moments).
CFR Cluj is apparently aiming for Yssouf Kone, from Rosenborg(an opinion on his performance from our friends from the north would be welcomed:) ) and Sanchez Prette from Atletico Huracan(Argentina). Dorin Goga, from now relegated "U" Cluj(Romania) is also a target(and disputed also by Dinamo Bucuresti and Steaua Bucuresti).

Italia 1 and Gazzetta are talking from 15-20 Mio. € + Sagnol..
Well, the Transfer makes sense. His Father worked in Germany and Bayern wants to get a second italian. Besides Flamini joined Milan and in addition to that Ze Roberto is 34 now.
It looks like many italian nt players are having good memories to Germany
Niko Kovac (CRO) will stay in Salzburg for another year. alzburg also signed the tunisian international Mehdi Traouri from african CL-winner Etoile Sport du Sahel.
Markus Weissenberger (AUT) will leave Eintracht Frankfurt and the german Bundesliga to return after 10 years abroad to LASK Linz.
Sturm Graz sold Sebstian Prödl (AUT) to Werder Bremen (transfer fee 2,5 mio €).
those are the most important transfers until now, the "big" ones will follow in the next weeks...

He had a good three months in the ending of last season. This season he's started just okey. The last two matches he hasn't play due to a two match quarantine from a totally wrong red card. So far he's scored two goals in four matches. One of them being a penalty. I think he will do alot better the next month.kraken wrote:CFR Cluj is apparently aiming for Yssouf Kone, from Rosenborg(an opinion on his performance from our friends from the north would be welcomed:) )
